Talin isn't well either!

That's good because it was about to crush Vardalain's throat. You jump onto its back and stab with your knives. One of them penetrates in the gap between head and chest.

That doesn't seem to have worried it much either...

Argentis, you jump hard into your target, now knocking it to one side. It turns to swing at you.

-

You continue to flee, Itarilde. But ahead of you are three men on foot, bearing javelins...

(aww man, gimmie abreak lol.. I'm new!!!)
Itarilde Decides this path wasn't a good choice.. she checks her options..
(can I use a form of magic? or fight them? seeing as I am far out numbered I'd have to use magic, seeing as I'm a novice, I can't really trust my magic- Is there another route I can take?)

Only into the fog.

Mind you, this fog might be unnatural but it is still fog. You are no being of power but you CAN do some tricks with water...

(holy **** this thing is really a pain in the ***)

As it falls on a side I pull out an arrow and while he was busy killing Anglomir I fire it right in the eyes(if the helmet has an opening for the creature to see) or in the belly. From 50 cm I hope my shot is powerful enough...

(seeing as fog is a form of water, but I guess the fog MIGHT be unnatural and turn against me.. I'll try.. and leave the rest upto you, narrater 😛)

Itarilde races upon Annare into the Fog, the Fog behind her becomes thicker and more dense covering any of her tracks.
Hopefully disuading the dunlendings.....

The problem wioth getting around to its front, Palanfirith, is that there is a dangling Animist in the way! And the one Argentis is fighting has just been knocked, not yours. And none of them have fallen over!

-

You feel a cold chill again, Itarilde, but you feel your own art flow as the fog closes in around you...

Not in time to stop the javelineers, though. Their missiles are hurled in your direction...

Itarilde discovers that this fog is definatly unnatural..
(hang on.. how comes I can't see anything, yet they can, I am an Elf after all...)
Itarilde dodges the javelins, she turns her head to see if she can see them. She can't...
She doesn't know where to go, She keeps going deeper and deeper into the Fog, trying to find someway to loose the dunlendings..

Oh, they just throw before you can no longer be seen, is all.

But one lucky shot from the third javelineer strikes the left flank of your horse. It rears back in pain.

Itarilde trys to calm down Annare, She gets off Annare, wearily..
Scanning the horse, she finds where the horse had been hit.
Pulling out some healing herbs she had brought from home, she applies them... The horse calms down some.

You wish you knew more about healing... hmm. She'll move, but she'll be slow for a while. Hmmm...

(hmm?)
I guess I'll have to walk for now then.. try and find somewhere to rest for a little while.. maybe this fog will clear? Hopefully..
Itarilde sighs and carries on walking, Annare at her side.
It's getting colder.. hmm..

You spend some time resting. The Dunlendings do not follow. Still you know for sure that the talk about the south road being dangerous is true. But that seems a petty worry compared to what is going on in these Downs. You could do with knowing more about what is in there, but you are loathe to look yourself.

Cirdan said the change has come since the Winter. Judging by this cold, you agree with him.

Itarilde Thinks to herself *I've got to go to the Downs, There is no way I can take the south road now...*

So, after feeding Annare and checking her wound is healed enough to ride.
She get's unto her steed and starts off into the darkening, cold Fog...

If these are nazguls, ush..i don't assume we can beat them just like that. Just in case.....
Vardalain, now freed, runs to get his bow and to search for a fire to light his arrows.

I back away fast, It might lure the creature away from Gorlim giving him a striking Chance

(I missunderstood something,my bad.)
After stabbing that guy in the neck I jump off him(at a distance where he cannot grab me) and start shooting arrows in his back.

Just to put everyone's mind at rest, these are NOT Nazguls. You would be dead already. The Nine, at this point in history, are not assembled and, as far as everyone is concerned, dead for 2000 years.

Book fans should know what these are...

I am afraid I misled you if you thought you were freed, Vardalain. Your captor is just distracted right now and hasn;t killed you yet. But, I am feeling njce- you can slip free to the ground (I had thought you were going to have another go at the helmet).

Now, Vardalain, there are very much NO fires around- first thing I said! All extinguished.

The arrows don't do much- some bounce off the armour, some just stick in it. It;s target is still Vardalain, which it hacks at.

Argentis, a sword coming at your throat... this evasive strategy will not last!

I get up my sword, to try and block the swing, as last time I don't expect to over power the creature, instead I try to make my blade hit his swing in a bit of an angel *down from the left*, expecting to get pushed it back, in the same angle, Thus using his momentum and strength to dive roll to my left side

You try and keep away from the centre of what you feel as much as possible, Itarilde. But you siuspect things will get a lot worse when it gets dark.

(so I'm just wandering around in the fog?)
