this is actually a decent film. It has a lot of nice touches, script and story isnt too bad, also the demented ramblings of the main protagonist are highly disturbing and effective. Quite a few famous actors , eg Margot Kidder(superman), and others who went on to make other sucesful films. The fact that you dont really get to see anything is effective. Also they make you think the killer is someone else, clever for such an old film. Also the camera work from the perspective of the killer was so shambolic it forced John Carpenter to invent the steady cam for halloween
Took "Black Christmas" in this morning. Not bad at all, and while I don't think it's underrated, perhaps its influence just isn't appreciated? Make sense?
It certainly had all the elements of an original slasher. Quiet killer, first person cinematography, kids getting knocked off left and right. "Scream" had a few elements of "B.C." in it, for sure.
