The best tolkien book?

I was just wondering what you people thought the best tolkien book was. so far fo rme its the silmarillion, but ive onnly read that, lotr, and the hobbit

well the return of the king was the best to me,I really didnt see that ending coming

hmmm i haven't read everything yet so i can comment on what i read so far

i liked TTT best......it had the most surprises

I loved the RETURN OF THE KING!!!!!
but FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING was also amazing.

I loved The Return of the King , The Fellowship was good too but I was really dissapointed in the TTT. I t just wasnt the same standerd as the others. Those r the only 3 Ive read but ive just bought The hobbit.

lol! sorry! I think da TTT just didnt grip me half as much as the other books did .It took me about 2months two read cus i kept puting down and not bothering to pick it up again. The movie was Good if that helps console you.

i loved all lotr and thesilmarillion and the hobbit but when i was littler i used to love on e about a magic puppy and wizardsby him lol it wasnt very babyish or anything jus t about a puppy 😛

I also liked the two towers, billyboydforever.
But if I have to choose one out of the three books that was my least favourite, i'd pick the two towers.

The Two Towers. No slow start, no weak ending, solid story, best of the bunch.

The Return of the King's the best. has all the best battles and everything.

ahh, the name was return of the king, i remember that cartoon, kind of an weird thing. my favorite was the silmarillion, but as far as LOTR books go, i would probably say the first half of TTT, i flew through it, but once the story turned to frodo, though still good, slowed down my reading.

yea for lotr TTT is definetly my favorite then i cant decide between the other 2
