They got rid of his accent in Ultimate X-men. They had a good explanation for that though. But anyway the accent is kinda tricky. Remember in TAS where he constantly referred to him self in the third person? That sounded really retarded.

Yeah but that was in a comic,in x-3 they have to have his accent.It's such a big part of his character along with his red eyes,without them you wouldn't realise it was him without being told.

He should have the red on black eyes but the accent isn't really necessary for me. If he does have an accent it shouldn't be too thick.

ya and in the comics his accent isnt too big and same in the cartoon the only thing he has trouble saying is dis and dat haha, and that moi sherry line when talking to rogue, red eyes have to be there, hair has gota be there, and if not, then dont even bother why wreck a good thing?

you gotta give credit to the producers though... if we do get a Gambit, hes gonna be one hell of a guy to cast.... they better not f*** him up in the movie

like ice man? his character got the shaft and he got turned into a little ferry i mean ice man is supposed to be cool and able to fly on a sheet of ice, i dont see ice man doing that in the movie do you?

No.As for gambit he does need the accent,but your right not to thick or it would be to much.

Maybe Gambit wont even say a word, just like Yuriko 😛 Actually i guess his part will get same screentime as Mr. Laurio got in X2...whats a pity, but if he speaks, there should be a subtle accent.

I wish they gave Gambit the same treatment they gave to Nightcrawler, they got to make him important to the plot, not just to please the fans. But i know its very hard to happen the same with Gambit. If its to have him saying two words or be just a doll in the movie, i prefer him to have only a brief cameo of 3, 4 seconds...

wellmaybe hel be like on the run form someone, he is part of the theieves guild right, maybe theyll encorporate that into the movie, and have the x-men take him in and protect him that way he s important to the plot
