Who should play Gambit?

Whatever they do, they should make the little pretty-boy punk look cool. Gambit always looked cool, or at least he did when all the other X-Men weren't dressing like him. They should let the X-Men wear their own individual costumes, but clearly Cyclops's half-second of screentime in X2 revealed the practical side of the costumes and now they have to have some kind of padding or armor underneath. But they don't look cool all in the same black costume. Wolverine should where his brown and tan bare-armed costume (unless they just decided that Hugh's tall, slightly lanky physique isn't fit to wear a real Wolverine costume) and everyone but possibly Cyclops and Storm should find other clothes. Gambit will look much better if he looks distinctive, and since Cyclops now wears the cliched trenchcoat normally reserved for rebels and bad-asses (a mistake in this case, clearly), they need to reverse that or make Gambit different in some other way.

Very well said Logan.they DONT look cool with them all being in the same black costumes.Singer was such a moron to do that.He only wanted to make his own little version movie,he did not care if that betrayed the source material for the comics.Damn Singer to hell for that. 😠 yeah they should all find thier own distincitve clothes instead of being lazy and copying each other wearing the same thing.such lazy film making on Singers part. 😠

I'd rather see Wolverine in black leather then that stupid yellow spandex. Don't want to offend the comic-Wolverine, but I think he lookes plain stupid in that outfit. Wolfie in leather... *drools*

Olivier Martinez is french. Gambit is not. It would be extremely difficult for him to do a cajun accent.

has anyone mentioned casper van dien for the role of gambit yet? this guy was in sleepy hollow (the tim burton adaptation).

I'm hoping for a big part 😄 But it he is in it, chances are it would only be about the same as Kurt's was in X2. We already know the movie is focusing around Logan, and Jean.

whoever they get to play him, i hope they change the costume O_o that'd look kinda stupid....the black thing on his face, still? thats like giving Kurt hor Wolvie their traditional uniforms O_O not good. keep the hair, bo-staff, cards and trenchcoat...maybe the combat boots...but get rid of the pink and blue X-Costume. ^_^
