who is fionwe (dont tell me if this person has anything to do with return of the king I know too much about it already so much for a suprise lol)

No has absolutely nothing to do with RoTk 🙂

He's one of the Ainur, a god... there isnt so much known about him because he just accures in one short part of a story (yet he is very important as he destroys the world!).
He is the boyfriend of Arien, leader of the Sun 🙂

I'll remind people again- as has already been said- Elves DO have an age limit, it is just not very relevant.

BTW, that thing about Glorfindel returning (presumably as the Glorfindel in FOTR) was something Tolkien mused about but never made official (not that anything in the Silmarillion or beyond was ever really official at all anyway).

Also it seems that very few Elves actually return after death- that was always, in any case, a very fuzzy concept of Tolkien's.

I don´t know and nobodys know elfs limit of live, but remember that on LOTR we can see the oldest elf living in Midlle Earth; Galadriel, the Noldor princess who was at the oldest times of Beleriand, just since the creation of elfs by the Valar. She was at the great march of the Eldar from East to Valinor. At less she has more than 3000 years 🙂 and she is beauuuuutiful...Remember she is older than Elrond. But no to older as Cirdan; a Telleri from the great march who has the otehr of the trhee rings of power forged by the elfs, such as Galadriel and Elrond.

I don't know nothing about the trailer of ROTK but i hope i would see Cirdan.. 🙁

I have my doubts if Glorfindel who died in Gondolin is the same of LOTR.
I never thought that way because Tolkiens say that after the defeat of Sauron all the high elfs - Vanyar, Noldor and most of Telleri, went to West, exception to Galadriel the guardian of Lothlorien forest and Cirdan who stayed at the Northwest port.

But...

Yes its the same Glorfindel;
Tolkien wanted to let Glorfindel explain that in FoTR but then he didnt take it into the book.

This question is perhaps answered in the Athrabeth *searching*

Like I say, it was never official. As the continuity currently exists they are seperate people listed seperately in the Silmarillion index, and as Corlindel points out, some of Tolkien's words contradict that idea. There was a lot that Tolkien thought about doing but never actually did.

ahhh to many "indels" lol

Luckily, Ushgarakindel sounds silly...

I wish Tolkien was chating with us....

ay ya, that would answer a lot of questions...

We will see that soon...
