World Poverty...

There are some good films on the subject, though..

So, if you think about it.. it's a great subject to discuss.

what films would that be?

Can't think of any movies off the top of my head..

about the crap pay and poverty in the US..

the reason why I said that Israel was apiss poor example is because
that Israel in itself is like waving a red cloth. The Israel/Palestinian problem would have been brought up and then the shit would really hit the fan.
So the reason for the agressive terms was to kill it off before any one went down that road and drifted into the Israeli/Plaestinian conflict..

On a more termological term Israel cant be consider to be even close to poverty

well in the united states it more profitable to starve countries... ex. ethiopia... we send around 300 million dollars of aid to ethiopia. most of it is in the form grain. ethiopia had been in the worst drought in recorded history, so they were unable to farm... well to make a long story short, US farmers are banking on sending them grain... companies that actually ship the grain are paid by govt contracts. basically ethiopia can grow its own grain now, but the grain they get from the US is far cheaper, so noone wants to farm grain in ethiopia. there was an ethoipan farmer complaining that he a warehouse full of grain he couldn't sell. it will all just rot in the warehouse... meanwhile the US will not stop shipping the US grain that ethiopia does not need... because the shipping and agriculture lobby is very powerful and has the ear of congress. its more complicated that that but this is just a jist.

So what the heck did you open it in the OFF-TOPIC area for? Where no-one is under any obligation to disuss it seriously at all, and can in fact make anything of it they like? You have no right at all to ask him to type something useful- that is not how it works in this section.

IF you want to start a serious discussion, use the GDF. But such debates are VERY frowned upon around here as they inevitably turn into very acrimonious argument, as we can see starting already.

Starting trivial arguments on this thread just annoys me..

So what if I used Isreal as a s*** example, the amount of poverty is disgusting.. and people should accept it and do something about it.
