Everyone was happy but I thought there was an underlying sadness.
In one of Cate Blanchett's interviews she said something along the lines of how the elves were leaving and the time of man is coming - what are we (as man) going to do with what has been given to us etc.
Throughout FOTR and TTT we see the elves making their journey towards Grey Haven, leaving ME. We see man taking their place into the world saved from the destruction etc. There are all the happy endings etc but (esp with the book) when I first read it I felt the overwhelming sadness.
The world has changed...
I hope PJ ends it in the Shire.
i havent read the books, ive just seen the movies which has been TOTALLY amazing, but someone at a orlando message board posted a link which went to the last 2 scenes of the ROTK script, and it was majorly sad, extremely sad, just reading it made me cry, and then the thought of seeing it in the movie made me cry even more, im gonna bring tissues with me to the movie for all the sad parts, and of course...it will be sad that the trilogy ends..that there is no more lord of the rings after that, that we have fellowship, the two towers, and return of the king to watch over and over and over, its gonna be heartbreaking to have it end :-( but yes...if that was the true script, then..the ending is extremely sad :-(
*eyes get watery* i used to not be a big lord of the rings fan, i mean..id think...well its dumb and such, but the more i watched fellowship and then saw the two towers, im obsessed with it, and im excited SOOO excited for return of the king, i love it
i know for sure that elanor will be in rotk, becuse on www.ninecompanions.net, she is listed as one of the cast members for rotk. if anyone has the link for the script........................SEND IT TO ME PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
