How do you know if someone likes you?

i like some guy in my school, and i wanna know if it's obvious that i like him, so what are the kinds of things that people do when they like someone?
(when i'm asking this, i obviously don't observe myself when i talk to him or anything cuz i'm too deep in his eyes to notice 😛)

stare at him for a ridiculous amount of time, blush when you talk to him, get all wierd and confused when you try to talk to him, act overly happy when he's around.....

That's happened to me, and it feels like crap when you like the person and then they say that they don't like you.
