It’s one of the things that separates our human intelligence from a machine. We can accept and work with the concept of an irrational number. A machine would short-circuit unless we somehow tell it to just terminate, say, pi after 10 digits.

Holes in the cookies. That the machines, living in a dis-continious world without irrational numbers are looking for stuff to fill the cookie holes with.

😆 wow... What was this thread again *looks up* oh yeah, Smiddy's cookies. So imagine my surprise when I looked at these last few posts and we were talking about irrational numbers, pi, and how computers and humans are different 😄

I think every thread Omega appears on turns into a discussion of some kind of physics, math, or philosophy 😆 My brain can barely keep up 😗

I believe this is the anomaly that creates the problems in the matrix. The inabillity to make good cookies (circular cookies-they could make rectangular but then who would eat them?). Then they tried making cheese but cheese has holes, holes include a form of a circle, circle contains pi so they gave up again. Then they tried to make pies but pies contain pi(e) and again they gave up. What it wrong with these things?Can't they just make something right?
