Wolverine, most definitely. I know everyone's digging him all of a sudden, but being a personal fan of Marvel comics since the age of seven, he has always been my favorite. The most interesting thing about Wolverine is the background histories he ties in with many of the X-universe's heroes. Like, say, for example...Captain America. Both Wolverine and he both recount the days when they fought together in World War II. Also, Captain America was, in fact part of the "Weapons" projects. Cpt. America was Weapon 0, I think. It's either that or I, but I know he's either of the two.
Not only is his interconnection such a great interest of mine, but also his many facets to his character: he was once a samurai, a CIA operative, and the list goes on and on. He's gentle, yet he's bestial. He has a tempered soul, but still on edge.
Anyway...yeah, there are many, many other reason why Wolverine's my favorite, but that just pretty much sums it up!
Thinking of another favorite character of mine, though, in the X-Men universe, I would have to say it is Shadowcat. Kitty Pryde is absolutely adorable and very attractive. I love the idea that she can just walk through walls, phase through pretty much anything, and, hell, even walk on air! I like Chris Claremont's rendition of her in his Xtreme X-Men line of comic series.

oh! for me CYCLOPS only!I can't explain but I think I'm just amused seeing his visor... And another factor why I like Cyclops is the color of his wear, color blue...
To be honest with you, in the past history with Cyclops, I never particularly cared for Cyclops all that much. For me, he was always portrayed as a character who was just too perfect. Currently, I like what Grant Morrison is doing with his character; I think he's actually given him a character, a person who's actually affected by the possible loss of Jean Grey, the screw up he had with Emma Frost, etc., etc. I was amused by the fact that he was drowning out his sorrows with alcohol and then played a game against Logan on who could get drunk first.
It's crazy about Cyclops' visor, though...in this X-Men book I have, it goes into detail about his visor and how it works. It's awesome!
I'm going by the movies, but it would be Jean Grey, Lady Deathstrike, Toad, and Scott Summers. Jean, she is just plaining out hot and she can kick some ass! Lady Deathstrike, same as Jean. Toad, he is kinda funny and likes to mess with people. Scott, he is so faithful to Jean and he is a leader who don't take crap laying down.
