According to my calculations De Niro you are member number 12015 , hope that helps 🙂 .
In October I had announced that the number of new members was steady. I was wrong. This month : I can assure that the number of new members in December is gonna be lower than the figure in November (less than half as many new members). There are currently 1350 new members (against 5000 in November).
This may be the beginning of an era of stabilization (maybe, maybe not). But it's the first time since March 2003 that this figure is decreasing (for today it is impossible that the number of new member soars before the end of the month to reach 5000)

as said a few 1000 times before it aint the quantity it's the quality
Originally posted by G.PI had a feeling this would happen. I think the main reason this has happened is that I have made it slightly harder for people to register (and also the Matrix surge is finishing)

This is mainly due to the socking and spam problems we were having. This has virtually stopped since I introduced more strict registration rules. This includes verifying your email when you register, and most people can't be bothered, or it takes to long for the email to be sent - so those people who haven't "activated" their account (although registered) don't show up in the members list.
But yeah, I agree that we won't be beating last months registration total. Although having said that, our postings per day has increased dramatically...
