Nope! 😄 And here is why:

Has any of you considered the fact that Rowling could just change the character of Draco in Book six? Just like what she did for Ginny? No, I can't. At the end of Book5 it seemed like Draco's hatred for Harry has deepened to a level beyond plain dislike. Harry, after all, landed his father in prison. If some pothead with a scar threw my dad in prison, I doubt I'd be too nice to anyone anytime soon.

Draco and Ginny!!!! (Throws up)I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYONE WITH SUCH BAD TASTE!!!
Really!!!! God damn...Draco and Ginny?! Thats just as bad as saying Hagrid and the squid at the lake!
I firmly believe that D/G shipping is a waste of time and is totally out of the question. If Rowling ever did that I would throw up.
The Only problem is that I have a sneaking suspicion that Rowling might just do that...sobsobsob....
=) I ask of you to refrain from calling someone shipping another ship as having bad taste, because as far as other shippers are concerned, our ship sucks as well 😛 I wouldn't call D/G a waste of time, not really. It's an excellent fanon ship, but canon-wise it just isn't possible. JKR is known to place her clues a few books before the actual happening of things (Sirius mentioned Book1, appears in Book3; Harry crushing on Cho in Book3, they date in Book5). I seriously doubt canon!Ginny will go out with the guy who supports Tom Riddle. Surely she's got more brains than that. Besides, I'm sure she has her heart set on someone else...

Ginny was barely mentioned in the other books!!! In book Six we saw that a big change in our perception of her character. From shy, timid and love struck to Fiery, intelligent, confident and whatever else there is.(there are a lot of changes.)Rowling could just pull a 'Ginny' on Draco. At the end of book six we see Draco as he was before...but...the incarceration of his father might just change him for the better and Ginny might get close to him or be attracted to the 'new' draco.
Well?
I still sincerly hope that Draco and Ginny is not a possiblity but the facts are just...so...overwhelming.
Correction: Ginny was never shy and timid, and this is proven in Book 4 where she tells Harry and Ron to shut up. What we see in Book 5 is Harry hanging out more with Ginny and therefore is more exposed to her fiery personality. Ginny's always been fiery. It's just that one tends to behave differently around a crush, so Ginny, from Books 1 to 3, have been shrouded by this crush from Harry's POV, so he's never seen the real side of her. Ginny, however, behaves exactly the way she does in Book 5 to all her brothers throughout her entire life (ie: CoS Ron: "She never shuts up normally..."😉.
And for the facts... what facts? Are there canon evidence that Ginny and Draco will end up together? No. Ginny's character seems surprising to us because we've never seen enough of her to gauge who she really is. Draco, on the other hand, we have seen more than enough. He's a wimpy spoilt brat with a nasty personality. He could use with a girlfriend like Ginny, but Ginny does deserve better.

My point (I do have one) is that for a long time I didn't think Harry deserved Ginny. Canon Harry is so pre-occupied with Voldemort and his issues (rightfully so) that he would squander Ginny of a happy life. In so crazy way I love the idea of Draco falling in love with Ginny. I will get openly giddy over it. (We've all let out an excited squeal while reading a particularly fluff/romantic scene....don't deny it!)I must admit I'm a fangirl of fanon!Draco. You know, angsty, misunderstood Draco. Though I seriously doubt canon!Draco is. He just seems like an awful wimp. Scared of the Forbidden Forest... meh. But yes, I do like fanon D/G. Canon D/G, no.
I feel that the best thing about H/G is that they'll both be willing to be occupied with wanting to defeat Voldermort. Ginny isn't Cho, y'know. She wouldn't turn on the waterworks whenever Harry pays less attention to her than his life. Ginny would help him there, she would INSIST he pays attention to his own thoughts first, then help him deal with it. That's why H/G, IMO, works. Ginny doesn't demand much; she just wants Harry to be happy, and if defeating Voldermort is the key to it, she'd give her life to help him. Besides, LV = Tom Riddle, so defeating LV is a personal mission of Ginny's as well, so it all fits. And if their interaction are always like the library scence, I say they're in for a very lasting relationship.
In regard to the topic, Harry/Ginny is cliche in the Boy/Best friend's sister romance way. Harry/Hermione is cliche in the Hero/Heroine way. Harry/Luna is cliche in the Boy/New girl way. Harry/Cho is cliche in the vomit inducing way. So no matter what happens, people will always claim the ship to be cliche. There's no escaping it.

sorry for the long post.
I think along the same lines....
