I can answer all of the questions in the thread. 😐
Restroom
It's called a restroom because, back in the early 20th century, you didn't just poop or pee: you smoked, sat around, chatted. It was supposed to be a place you went to relax because you had to maintain a refined "persona" in front of company and then relax in the bathroom. You also used it to "refresh" yourself by splashing water on your face.
Restroom is also a euphamism.
Mouse (computers)
It's called a mouse because it DOES look like a mouse. If you have a fancy pants mouse, sure, it doesn't look like one. But, if you got an old school one, it looks like a mouse.
Parkway
This one is a no brainer: it's the "way" through the "park". Over time, it has evolved into a commonly used street identifier. Fun facts about that: if an address as "circle" or "cir" in it, it's usually in a caldesac. If it has 'street" in it, it is a "through" road, meaning you can drive completey through one side and out the other. If it is a "drive", it means that it ends..meaning you have to go out the way you came in.
