oh....i just saw that a few others have seen the movie.
i wont give anything away unless im pm'd with a question. which im not expecting, this movie is one to definately wait for.....
and please please, don't compare the other final fantasy (the spirits within) to this one. This one touched all of the FF7 places that i had not thought about for some time now..... and had me wanting a FF7 done for the ps2 platform. well, lets hope that happens someday. ** wink wink to Square/Enix** 😉

witht the ps3 so close, wouldn't you rather them make a remake of ff7 on that instead. B/c if they do make a remake it will be on that system.
They've already got people anxious about them doing one on there b/c of the ps3 demo of the game.
And they've hinted that they may make a remake on the systems in some interviews i've read.

I'm kinda the same. I would say why but that would just ruin it for everyone and I'm not going to do that. 😄 I know there are lots of people who are going to wait for the English version but I think it's defiantly worth seeing the Japanese version after. The voice actors are fantastic.

Voice Actors for FFVII: Advent Children
i think the english version is delayed because of the english voice overs. And i dont know what actors/voice actors are doing which voices,
-but who would you want to voice a character? (cloud, tifa, barrett...)

Would yall say that since I have only played Final Fantasy X and X-2, that it would be worth it and still a good experience to me if i went back and played some of the earlier Final Fantasy games?
Like FF7 and FF8?
Even though they are older games, the graphics still look good when i see pics of them online.
I never saw the demo for PS2, well back then i wasn't involved as I am now in the gaming world. I just knew what new systems i wanted and what games. And gaming magazines. Plus i don't think i had as much access to the internet as i have now.
I wonder if they still have that demo online.
I would have been good if i was older back then and could of been informed of all of the things and events surrounding the ps2 and gamecube and xbox when they were first coming out, such as the FFVIII demo.
I'd have to go for FFVII & FFVIII. That's where it all started fot me. A lot people didn't like VIII cause they said it didn't live up to VII. I think it's a matter of opinion though. I never saw the tech demo to VIII. 🙁 If I were you powerfulone I guess I go for VII cause of the movie and the cause there's a few spin off games coming out.
at first i wasn't really a fan of the ff series. I watched my cousin play VII and didnt think much of it mostly cause it seemed boring. Then i actually played it and was hooked. VII was my first and still my fav. VIII was good but i got bored of it halfway. it was pointless to rack up levels in it cause the enemies levels were a reflection of your, which meant less of a chance of easy victory. All that hard work racking up so i could defeat opponents easily was for nothing. never finished it. but i have i finished IX and X. for some reason X feels like it was more focused to appeal females. i've start all the other FF's but haven't gotten anywhere in them.
i still like VII best its graphic may have been as good as it successors but it kept me entertained. IX isn't that bad either but not a favorite with everyone.
yes, powerfulone1987, you should definately go back to ffVII for sure. You would have a much better understanding of the movie, and also, the game is a classic.
FFVII was the only one in the FF series that had me wishing the game was longer.
and VIII was ok. FFX felt a little soft and weak. and i didn't even bother with X-2, i just traded it in soon after i bought it.
