The eyes of the Oracle might be Seraph, since he's her guardian and all....

Icon, New meaning to Free Agent. That was quiet good a catchphase you have there.

I dont think Seraph is her eyes, since we dont meet Seraph until M2, and Seraph hasn't SEEN Neo...

Seraph"I protect what matters most"

the future

I think the reason Neo is blind folded is because the matrix code has changed and therefore if he uses his eyes he cannot see it. Or something like that.....................................

icansee> Yes but he also says things more directly in ETM:

-Scene switch to Ballard- -Seraph approches Ballard from behind-
-Ballard senses him and points a gun at Seraph's head-

Ballard: Who the hell are you?
Seraph : I am Seraph, Guardian of the Oracle.
Ballard: Is that right?
Seraph : I can take you to her. But first, I must apologize.
Ballard: For what?
Seraph : For this.

So he IS the guardian of the oracle. But he might be a guardian of the future too.

he is guardian (angel) of the oracle
and therefore indirectly protecting what matters most - that we are still here

Yes but remember he did not state, if Oracle was what mattered most. He ONLY said he protects what matters most. Remember what he said about a key when Neo asked him about the back door programs?

Seraph has a lot more information about the matrix, he is writen in gold not green which could mean he is a program from some other part of the matrix..........

icansee> did you see my earlier post? In ETM he directly says that he protects the oracle. I think he might protect more than that though, like Burlyman is suggesting...

Oh, thanks must of missed your post...................
Also I do not have ETM...................

it is not coincidence that Morpheus and Seraph use the exact same words at different parts of the movie...

Seraph: "i protect that which matters most"
Morpheus: "And i remember, that which matters most...WE ARE STILL HERE!!!"

This means to me that Seraph protects the future of the humans, b/c, like the Oracle said, "I'm interested in one thing Neo the future, and believe me, the only way to get there is together"

Some thoughts....

First of all: "matters most" to who? When you have to calm down 250 000 people you better say that they matters most or they won't be much calm. We're talking about a major riot here. What matters most to Seraph does not have to matters most for the humans in Zion.

Second: if you watch carefully in the trailer you can see that a machine is holding Neo's arms so he's lying back. They are after all "sleeping" in the real world when inside the matrix so they can't stand up straight. 😖leep:

Third: I think Neo's just wearing a blindfold, because (again in the trailer) he looks at Trinity in the hovercraft that appears to be meeting the machines on the surface and a second later he's blindfolded. (This HAS to be after they've rescued Neo from the Merovingian.) It could be a trick to easier concentrate and/or "feel" the machines near him. It looks like he's clearing a path for them to fly unharmed to the "speech-machine".

Fourth: I believe that Neo has to make the "Speech-machine" jack him into the Matrix since all the broadcast points ought to be swarming with sentinels by now. I doubt he can push away sentinels in real life and at the same time be inside the Matrix fighting Smith. I think he strikes a deal so the machines let him be while he's trying to get rid of Smith. Surely the machines would benefit from it.... their power supply is about to be destroyed by Smith.

Any comments on my thoughts?? 🙂

I understand that, however, we know that Seraph and Morpheus fight together in revolutions, so it is safe to assume they want the same thing. It is also safe to understand that the Wachowski bros do not make coincidences...

Also, the two parts of the trailer, one right after the other, where Neo and trin are talking "if you tell me we'll make it i'll believe you" "we will, we have to" are two seperate incidences, placed together because they are similar, but they are seperated by time in the movie.

and no, i dont think the broadcast points are swarming with squiddies...Why? Because they would all be concentrating on Zion, and destroying the people/ships there...

Jedi, you can tell that seraph and morpheus don't fight in the trailers. Its another black guy.

THEY ALL LOOK ALIKE TO YOU DONT THEY@!!!?

🙂

Oh come on, that was uncalled for.

Good point Jedi.

Though I wonder why they go to the surface and confront that speech-machine-thingy if they can hack in as always undisturbed 😕

In the trailers you can see Seraph kicking Morpheus in the face at one point and later they fight side by side. Apparently the first scene is when Seraph is getting to know Morph before he can see the Oracle.

I'm not sure why Seraph is following Morph and Trin to go out fighting but it could be because they need Neo to survive. I'm assuming that the three of them are going after Mero

I never saw this anywhere.

NO NO NO
seraph is kicking one of meros guys, in his car park
the same guy who is escorting rama out of le vrai

Jedi said Seraph and Morpheus fight together
not Seraph and Morpheus fight each other

thank you burlyman, i thought i said it clearly; guess i was mistaken...and i believe Seraph is fighting with, not against, Morph and trin because the Oracle sends him...
