*seeing as Marcus his technological knowledge is limited to knowing how to fix a sabre and to work with basic jedi tools*
I sit down in a far corner of the room meditating on this problem, trying to clear my mind and search the force for a possible clue about how to get out of this mess

Power is not your problem. There is enough residual power to activate a system. But you HAVE to know what you are doing. Pressing random buttons will not help, you have to re-wire and set-up the correct function.

Roan- if these things are responsible for the difficulties in colonisation, why is there any life on this world at all?

Well, to make a noise like that, Roan, you would need a powerful sonic vibrator- rather like the ones outside...

At this point the arthropods break in and start to swarm the room.

"help!!!
block the damn door!!
i'm gonna try to get the vibrators to work,"
*shunts the power from the lights, r some other unnessasary function to the vibrators as fast as possible fingers flying, using the force to guide me*
"Com on, comon!!"

"Good thinking, Roan!" Xeth shouts over the buzz. With one hand he helps Roan with the controls, the other occupied by the sonic blaster that he is firing at the bugs.

*Kosta activates his saber and throws a barrage of spinning moves, jumoing back and forth to try and stay as far away from the bugs as possible*

"IS THERE ANY WAY TO HAVE THE SONIC BLASTER TO EMIT A HIGHER FREQUENCY SOUND BLAST XETH?" *Kosta yells*

*Fingers flying, still rerouting*

"Let me check!" Xeth hollers, and tries to fiddle with his sonic blaster. He sets it to sound mode, and tries to find the highest frequency. "Cover your ears!" he hollers, and pulls the trigger.

(Sonic blasters have 2 modes of fire, if I'm not mistaken: sound and physical.)

(damn that's what ush ment by Xeth has touched it Damn I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN)

I get up a bit wounded and start to help Kosta blocking the door

Your blaster is utterly inadequate to the task, Xeth- it doesn't have the right frequency, and you don't have time to re-tune it. You are better off just firing it really!

The arthropods swarm in, dying in their thousands or more but with millions and millions behind; the window breaks as they crash in through there as well...

Roan- got it...

For a moment, you hear a high-outched noise reverberating all around. Then, all of you get an intense, monentary headache.

A moment later, every single arthropod in or near the base falls dead as one. The hangar has an interesting new carpet now...

The perceived threat has gone.

Kellan joined in her companions collective sigh of relief. "Well done," was her brief compliment, not enjoying the crunching sound under her boots. "Anyone hurt ?"

"Kosta pick on up to examine it closer*
"Ugly little things. Are you ok Matser Marcus?"

He'll need some treatment but he will be fine.

Well, that was pretty vicious! But all done now, luckily. You may proceed with your explorations.

"Now, back to finding the fuel. We must get out of here."

Time is a running indeed. I'll need to know who is heading where, and to do what.

Sky picked up on of the bug like things. She looked closely at the area she prayed was the mouth and noticed little tiny peices of metal from when it was through the door. She dropped it and crushed it under her boot.

It was the air pushed through the bulbous sacks in their mouths- a feature of evolution. Didn't kill the bugs, only drove them off. This system is more extreme.

Sky, if you look a few pages back you will see a map- you can tell me where you want to go on that.
