USH'S GAME EPISODE V- 'MAUSOLEUM'- LIGHT SIDE AREA

Started by Gundark89 pages

Kellan knelt over Xeth, examining his wound. She was no healer; there was no determining whether or not it would be immediately fatal.

"I know, Xeth, I'll get him," she told him softly. "Just take it easy. Stay here and don't move." Kellan got to her feet and pulled out her com. "Marcus, Xeth is badly wounded and you've got to get him out of here before this place blows. Don't wait for me - I'm going after Kuylen." She was already heading down the passage after her opponent as she turned the com off.

A good job you were sharpish about it as well, Gundark- a large rock blocks the doorway a moment after you pass through into the darkness...

That's Gundark done.

Good Luck Gundark

*after I have disabled Saar his sabre* Let's go and find the others shall we

"You're going to have to carry me," says Saar. "Best get a move on..."

(OOC do I think I can make it down there and back out of there, while I am carrying Saaar?)

You can certainly rule out trying to help Gundark. You should be able to get the others out.

okie when I am absolutely sure I have disabled (BEYOND REPAIR) Saar his light sabre and after doing a quick search for any hidden weapons I pick up saar and start heading towards Roan and Xeth

Comlink:
"Master, Xeth is down, run through by Kuylen. Galder kinda got away from me. I'm gonna see if I can get to Xeth and help him out."

I'm gonna try to limp, crawl, and or drag myself over to where Xeth is.

"Roan try and get him out of there to meet me somewhere half way"

"Gotcha."

"Take care I hope to see you soon"

"Same here."

Xeth is still alive. You are not totally sure on the way to move a badly injured bug though, Roan. especially with your head pounding the way it is.

I shake my head trying to see past the fuzz that has seemed to cover all that is in front of me, making my vision blurry.
"Man I gotta get you outta here, I hope this doesn't make things too much worse."
Working very slowly and carfully,I rip a piece of my robe and try to wind it around the stab, then I pull Xeth onto my back. Kinda carrying him. over my shoulder, like you see soldiers do in the WW2 movies. Working even more slowly I Prop my self up and try to get to my feet.
"Cmon, lets go....gotta meet Master.... gotta get you outta here." I mutter trying to keep my balance as I work my way back to where Iast saw the big crystal thingy and the entrance.

Ok, folks. The fights are done. Four people have entered the Tomb of Demnos, in this order: Kuylen, Gundark, and then Galder and Takuan together.

This concludes the 'game' part of the storyline, which has lasted over three years.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the players for putting up with everything I have thrown at them, and that applies equally to those who have only recently joined, all the way through to Rex and Gundy who have slogged through the whole damn thing, right from the first story, when the world was a different place! You have all been very patient at times when I have been busy, and also had to deal with a lot of hassle! My games are not easy going and I like the players to feel challenged.

That said, I am wimping out at the final stage. I don't have the heart to kill any of you arbitrarily so, Rah and Xeth, you can both be alive if you want to be. Xeth, however, will never totally get over that wound- he will receive no literal impairment to his stats but may have the occasional gameplay problem. But Galder already has an artificial arm; some people like to accumulate these things as trophies...

I like to think the game has gone well in general. Some things didn't work, some things did, some things worked great, some things never happened, and some unplanned things happened that were brilliant! Whilst the storyline was mine and my brother's, these details that REALLY make ther game are all down to you guys, so well done to you all.

What will follow over the next few days are the final post-script threads, including an epilogue, a summary of the ENTIRE storyline with all gaps filled, and the preparation threads for those who wish to carry on with a new storyline, all of which is very much prepared. I would also enjoy seeing a certain amount of general discussion of things!

Before all that there is, of course, one last section of play. When the relevant players are ready, I can do the 'Tomb' section for the three players involved. I considered making a seperate thread for that, but we may as well do it here.

Again, thank you all...

Yay!
I'm glad we all get to live cuz it would kinda suck to say, Yea well the storyline's over but you died so you char gets no experience or anything.
Good luck Gundy!
Give 'em hell!!

I can just imagin how we all look slogging outta that place. Me with Xeth over my shoulder, coming outta this dusty destroyed cavern and wishing Gundy well, Seems like something outta "Band of Brothers"
Well done Ush, well done!

wow I survived I never thought that would happen

well Ush thanks for the great game over the years.

The Tomb

Gundark, you stagger on your feet as the whole Mausoleum shakes as it continues in its death throes. This corridor is pitch black,. and dust and debris is everywhere. Only your Jedi senses help you keep any sense of direction as you stumble on through. You are confused and disorientated and for a few moments, you lose track of things. Did you pass someone? You are not sure.

And then... you have come out into a lit room. it has a low ceiling, and you have to stoop slightly. This room seems perfectly calm amidst the destruction going on outside, and only a slight rumbling gives a hint that this room, too, is eventually doomed.

On the far side of the room is a large rectangular sarcophagus. A large golden plaque on the side reads:

DEMNOS

It has been opened.

Kellan was desperately trying to recoup spent strength as she stumbled along. Upon seeing the sarcophagus, opened no less, she felt precious energy drain from her in a wave. Demnos existed...

Slowly, almost fearfully but controlling your emotions, you approach the final resting place of Darth Demnos, and peer uneasily inside, and...

...it is empty.

Well, almost empty. On one side if the inside is a smaller, silver plaque, inscribed with a short note in galactic standard.

And when you read it... you burst into almost hysterical laughter.
