so i'm near the tank by now

Chion has developed a rather unique method of fighting the Zeitonians which seems to depend upon his physiology being highly resistant to their kinetic weaponry. You imagine he really is not very easy to bash to death. He is taking out two with each swing.

Rah, you are in your element such dodging is second nature to you, and the two of you have soon cleared a path through.

Takuan, yup...

"I was just taking a breather," Galder says, casting a nasty look at Saar. He ignites his lightsabers and charges into the fray again, spinning as elegantly as he can possibly be, the blades cutting through his opponents like a hot knife through butter. He stays close to his men, making sure they can advance.

"My apologies, General," Wraith says, gulping. He then follows Galder into the fray, likewise keeping close to his soldiers and his Leiutenant, making sure his Leiutenant learns from him as the battle rages on.

(You see Saar smiling at you as you give him that look, Galder...)

The battle is soon done now. But only 9 of the two dozen men you brought with you survived; Kuylen is not pleased.

And Gar'Veran is dead.

Galder, likewise disgusted, looks at his dead Leiutenant. He picks up the lightsaber of his fallen man, clipping it to his belt. He turns to his remaining men.

"See to it that he receives a fitting burial..." Galder says simply, turning away. He does not make eye contact with Kuylen, but continues giving Saar a solid and unwavering glare.

His smile annoys you...

"What the hell was that, Galder?" asks Kuylen.

"Leiutenant Zahn'Tin, aid in the burial. The dead should not be disrespected..." Wraith says, watching Galder walk away. He takes count of his own men.

"I...do...not...know...sir..." Galder says, still not meeting Kuylen's glare, giving Saar a sneer. "I take a breather for a few seconds and I come back to very few soldiers."

"You don't know? You don't know?" says Kuylen. "Cretin! Those men were there to tie down the Jedi, not ber thrown away before we even get inside! That was a shambles. You should have taken that tank by yourselves, and if you had any sense you would have captured it.

"There is NO ROOM for second best now. Listen to me. I have taken all of you with me this far because I needed you. That might soon stop being the case so you had better give me a damn good reason to want you with me."

He raises his sabre towards you, Galder.

"I have no problem in killing any of you now if you stand in my way."

"Normally, I'd be surprised if you said that. But I heard Takuan's vision. The voices..." Galder says, quite calmly. "So far you have said two of the lines from the vision."

"But I am not at all comfortable with the idea of being tossed aside if I displease you. I am not against you, but it sounds almost as if you are comparing me to my Leiutenant. I am sure that as he lay dying, he felt used. Used by me. Hell, at the beginning of the rioting, when he joined in, I used him to get a sandwiche. Am I being used Kuylen? Used to get you the ultimate power you desire?"

Wraith raises an eyebrow.

"Jesus, did you not hear Kuylen? He needed us to get this far. He'd probably still be killing off Faylar right now, if he didn't have us."

"Let him die at the hands of the Jedi," says Saar.

"He doesn't deserve to die at the hands of the Jedi," says Kuylen. "Who the hell do you think you are, Galder, to in any way question me or my motives? Let me remind you how this works. Displease me and you die."

Galder sighs, still sneering at Saar.

"Yes, General Kuylen," Galder says, saluting. "Forget I said anything..."

"Glad that's over," Wraith says to himself.

"Well, are we just going to stand here and yell at each other? Galder, you obviously can't win this one, since Kuylen will just kill you and then Saar will get what he obviously wants, that being for you to cease to exist, so can we all just move along?"

"Ah, shut up, Wraith..." Galder says, turning his back on the others to go attend the miniature funeral for his Leiutenant.

"Move in," says Kuylen, heafing for the building entrance. "We're aiming downwards."

Chion lumbers in after him.

Galder nods, following behind Chion, the lightsaber of his Leiutenant clutched in hand, in case there is any resistance. He continues giving Saar glares from time to time, his mood hitting an ultimate low, but at the same time, excitement filling him, being close to the power that Kuylen has thus far promised him.

Saar's always been the thorn in your side, Galder. You had hoped to not have to work with him again.

But of course, he decides to show himself, now of all times... Galder thinks to himself, still disliking Saar with every step.
