Ilyana Rasputin "Magik" (not sure if she's Magik I or II or III or maybe IV... no just kidding) died from the Legacy Virus, that's why Colossus died to find a cure to it

A plane crash caused Scott Summers to lose his family, or so he thought. It turns out that his brother, Alex, also survived that crash and was adopted by the Masters family in Hawaii. Scott and his brother Alex were recently reunited, and Alex was invited to join the X-Men at the Institute, but he has chosen to stay with the Masters family.
The Summers brothers have very similar mutations. But where Scott's blasts are focused from his eyes, Alex is able to fire them off from his hands. Alex is also an expert surfer and is considering entering the pros.

Pro-File: Alex Summer is one of the mutants that suffered the most through these years. He´s the brother of Cyclops and just like him, felt down a plane with his bro., but was saved by a parachute. He was adopted, but had to abandon his brother in the orphanage he also used to live. He first appeared in a battle that included the Living Monolith, a being that needed his power to get his own. The X-Men helped him and he eventually became a team member, now knowing that Cylops was his brother. He began a romance with Lorna Dane and they left the X-Men some time later, dropping heroes activities. Some time later, they both were put under control of Erik the Red, who used them as pawns in the Phoenix Saga. After being released of the villain´s grasp, Alex and Lorna went to Muir Island. When Lorna was attacked by Malice of the Marauders, Alex asked help to the X-Men and rejoined them. When the team crossed the Siege Perilous, Alex return in Genosha and, after suffering brainwash, became one of the Magistrates, attempting to kill the X-Men during the X-Tinction Agenda. Cyclops made him remember of his past and he joined the team to kill Cameron Hodge. At this time, Valerie Cooper was forming a new band of mutants to work for the government, because Freedom Force was disbanded. She managed to make Strong Guy, Multiple Man and Polaris join, and later Havok and Rhane (Wolfsbane). Alex became the team member, until the point the Multiple Man "died". He took an absence from the team but returned some time later, sharing the leadership with Forge. After the AOA, Strong Guy was in a coma and Alex needed to use his black costume again, so he could control his mutant powers. After a battle with Random, who revealed to be a minion of the Dark Beast. Alex was put under control of the AOA Beast, and attacked X-Factor. He then later showed up as one of the integrands of the new Brotherhood of Mutants. He said to Cyclops that this is what he wanted, control over himself, even if he had to go against the X-Men and Xavier´s dream. He even took Dark Beast and Fatale out of prison, so they could join his Brotherhood. But Alex was not a fool to the point of trusting the Dark Beast: he was aware of his genetic experiments.
Soon after, Havok revealed that he just formed the Brotherhood so he could watch the Dark Beast better. After ending his experiments, Havok planned to reform X-Factor. But Greystone, one of the team´s members from the future, built what he thought to be a time machine. Instead, it was a dangerous bomb. Alex tried to stop him in his journey, but it was too late: the whole thing exploded, and all of X-Factor assumed Alex was dead. But was he?
Actually, Havok had been transported to another dimension (thanks to the machine strange energies) into the body of that dimension Havok, who had been killed. In this strange world (read more about it in the Mutant X section), Alex led a group called The Six, formed by the Fallen (our Angel), Bloodstorm (Storm), Ice-Man, Brute (Beast) and Madelyne Pryor. This Alex was married to Maddie and had a son with her, named Scottie. Alex tried his best to get out of this dimension, but for no avail. Since then, he´s trying to adjust to his new reality, even with the fact that Madelyne is showing her evil Goblin Queen persona...
actually , in the comics alex had an accident and felt on a coma, but with the help of professor x and carter( a new mutant kid) he came out of it.
also he was going to get marry to Polaris but he confess his love for Annie ( the school nurse), and them she became all wacko and tried to kill every one, but she was knockout by juggernaut

Didn't Colossus inject himself with the cure in hopes of preventing Illyana (sp?) from dying?

Pro-File: Polaris enterd the X-Men when the team was in it first formation, with her boyfriend, Havok. When the team was kidnapped by Krakoa and later saved by the New X-Men, Polaris and Havok left the team, just to be kidnapped again, now by Erik the Red. They were used as pawns to attract the X-Men, but they saved them. Polaris was later possessed by Malice, one of Sinister´s Marauders, and became a X-Foe, until Inferno was over. She returned a while to the team but lost her powers when a woman called Zaladane, that claimed to be her sister, stole them. She gained some new, strength powers, but the real powers returned after the fight with the Shadow King. She then joined the X-Factor and remained there for a long time, but had problem dealing with the fact that Havok had gone bad, and Mystique and Sabretooth were with the team.
After discovering that Havok was still a good guy, Polaris returned to X-Factor, only to see Alex explode thanks to Greystone´s "time machine". She thinks he´s dead, and her activities as a heroie ended...

En Saba Nur, originaly a nameless gray-skinned mutant, was abandoned at birth to die in the harsh Egyptian desert. His cries, however, were heard. He was rescued by a tribe of bandits led by a warior named Baal. Baal named him En Saba Nur, maening"the first one". Under Baal's tutelage and protection, En Saba Nur became a powerful, almost invincible warrior. No one could touch him because of his mutant prowess. During this time, the Pharoh Rama-Tut fell from the skies, carrying with him a great futuristic technology, which he used to conquer his part of egypt. however, when word came to him of En Saba Nur, he ordered his destruction, for his own safety. Rama-Tut's warriors killed all of the bandits, including Baal, but En Saba Nur survived and was enraged. He renamed himself that day: Apacolypse, because none could withstand his wrath. Rama-tut fled, presumably back through time from where he had come, leaving his technology behind, which apocalypse then took as his own. He intended to use one such artifact, the Eye of Ages, to " reshape the world in his image." However, his life was drained from the device upon its activation, and his servents betrayed Apocalyps, sealing him inside. They buried him high up in the Himalayan mountains, behind three scaled doors, in the hopes he would never be freed again.
However, in the present, Apocalypse's servent Mesmero has recovered all three keys, and opened all three doors. More than that, he has restored Apocalypse's power through roge, and now the First One, th most powerful mutant ever, has been freed to roam the Earth once more. He has already started his evil work, based at the oldest Mayan pyramid in mexico, and at a pyramid in China. No one knows what he is doing, because of a powerful sheild protecting his new fortress. And th world must now wait helplessly to see what Apocalypse will unleash.
