Blue Sky (True Real World?)

Anyone notice the blue sky briefly shown in the matrix trailer? At first I thought it was the matrix itself but a machine from the real world was shown flying in the sky. We all know the machines are in the real world and the real world sky was torched (black). Ummm...

Anyone else notice this? If so, can you offer an explanation?

Yes, it is flying above the covering.

so the sky was not really torched?

the sky cannot be scorched, as in all the atmosphere, all the way up, its just in a certain layer of the atmosphere, so, if they fly above said layer, they have clear skies...
