smittenkitten i agree that music isnt at its best quilty now..but music changes like everything els changes..and as for music nowdays its all about marketing which sucks!

and as for korn they did change there sound but common its now a decade and they still manage to keep the rawness and have atleast a decent fresh sound..after untocuhabels i said they ended but with there new album i still believe they can do better!

A versatile band is one that changes its sound from album to album, a la Nine Inch Nails or Pink Floyd.

Korn did not do this. Korn sold out and started spitting out songs that were only slightly different than any other song they've written. I like to call that pathetic. Their sound isn't fresh...it's just like any other nu metal crap. Maybe it was when Blind came out, but they went downhill as their popularity increased.

And yes, Evanescence is a joke.

when did korn sell out ? on follow the leader ? follow the leader sounds alot like life is peachy which is korns heavest album to date..did they sellout on issues ? cause they let the fans do the album cover ? i bet you wish your fav band would do that and issues had a dark unacceptable sound..maybe they soldout on untouchables ? i dont know but sellout albums are supposed to SELL..and untouchables didnt sell very well...take a look in the mirror is just like there two first albums with a bit of the new sound. i dont think korn sold out they just changed there sound! and every band dose that.

thats just my opinion...when a band dose the same thing over and over you hate them when they evolve there sound you hate them

It's fine to change a sound, but there is a difference between changing a sound and selling out. It must've been when I was in jr. high or first starting h.s. that this occurred to me....so, 98 or 99.

And yes, asking fans to design cover art via MTV was certainly an element of selling out. It would've been one thing if they did through their website or fanclub, but that's just absurd. Needless to say, MTV is the devil.

And Going Under sucks, just like the song. Well, to be fair, it is a catchy melody. However, Amy's terrible lyrics totally detract from the catchy (albeit unorginal) melody.

Suddenly, not having anything except terrestrial TV sounds good. Apart from the fact I only get my hours-upon-hours of cartoons and 'CP videos when I babysit the hellswpan-children. Still, what is with the new Top of The Pops? It's feckin' rubbish!

Anyhow, I just heard on the radio that this dude from that band ^ up there was thinking of leaving to join Avril Lavigne's touring band....What the hell was he thinking?! Hasn't it occured to him that he'll just be used to create background music for that stupid little girl who thinks she's a "punk"? Sorry if it sounds like I'm just rambling cos I am but that really pisses me off for some reason. 😠
