www.JediNet.Com Closed

Well, here's some sucky news. Appears that JediNet.Com have been false to close down. Not an act of LucasLawyers, but simply and purely for finacial reasons.

Just goes to show, if after 5-years these guys can go under, it can happen to anyone.

They might be back shortly, as I think they have been offered some space on the SWSS server.

I also saw that Charles at Aldera.Net was looking at making them some kind of assistance offer.

I wonder what kind of monthly costs the have that warranted closure like that.

They have loads of multimedia files....must have ate too much bandwidth.

BTW, Chucky IS with the SWSS.

Well, get you, on those sort of terms with Charlie boy huh...

Didn't know they had a hosting co-op going on.

Can't remember, but someone donated them a server....don't know the specifics.

Looks like the story behind JediNet.Coms demise has been somewhat mis-represented by some people. I spotted this over on the TF.N forums.

That's only half the story. As usual someone has jumped the gun and assumed. Well, you know what they say about that....

Anyway, while Vader did decide to pull the plug, there was a lot more going on behind the scenes than that.

JediNet.com, JediNetwork.com, the-council.com, and other sites directly related to JediNet will be offline until further notice.

Hopefully we'll be able to return and liberate the fanboy infested realm of Star Wars sites soon. Until then, be cautious...there's more than one wretched hive of scum and villany on the web.
