he fell in love with jean, she died, he went to alaska to think things over, met madelyne (who turned out to be a clone of jean), they had a son, nathan (known as cable nowadays), jean came back, madelyne was killed, then cyclops and jean sent nathan to the future to stop him dying (and never saw them grew up), then jean died again, then was resurrected, then cyclops was apparently killed fighting apocalypse, but he was alive and sharing his body with apocalypse's mind, then he was healed, then jean died again...

he's watched the woman he loves die 3 times and he's had to lead a team that saves the world regularly... i don't think he's had time to grieve yet...
