We went to the beach after our senior year in high school. The girl I shared a room with at the beach house got massively sunburned the first day. I put cold tea bags on her face to try to get the swelling down. We put cold wet towels on her, solarcaine...all that stuff. She didn't have a very good time, to say the least.
