Universal Studios Home Video's 2 Fast 2 Furious and its rerelease of director Brian De Palma's Scarface sold like gangbusters on their first day in stores.
More than two million VHS and DVD versions of 2 Fast 2 Furious sold, while Scarface sold more than 800,000 combined units. The studio shipped more than 5 million combined VHS and DVD units of "2 Fast" to retailers and rental stores during its first week in release.
Sony comedy Anger Management, starring Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson, remained the No. 1-renting video nationwide, earning an estimated $16 million in rental revenue for the week ending September 28. The comedy has earned an estimated $32.9 million in rental revenue alone during its 12 days on rental shelves
