we have fund raisers here, too; they're like 2k run/walks and such. Yesterday, was a 17k or something like that, but there are rest stops along the way, and yesterday's walk was sponsored by the hotel/restaurants association, so each year, each hotel/restaurant tries to outdo the other in refreshments from very original rest stop stands they build. It's the bestest funnest fundraiser of the year as far as receiving all kinds of goodies at each rest stop. Parents decorate their children's strollers, too, as the kids get pushed along the walk by them.
