Well I would just tell them, and say sorry I dont like you. I know its hard but you don't want to go out with some slob that has an IQ of about -10000000.1

i flat out tell them, "Look, im sorry, but I dont like you like you like me, it cant work"

I just ingnore them... but if they were my friend before, i still talk to them.

you have to tell them,the easiest way would be to say your heart already belongs to someone else,it may hurt them but its not saying its because of something personal,you at least spare them that.

thanks cel I do think thats the best way but I have say do NOT say what clispin said,sorry clispin but if you just tell someone your not interested in them and they are crushing you and you just dashed their hopes there is no way the two you can ever be just friends.
thats sucks I know but as friendly as you might be they are not going to change their feelings over night and now they resent you even if they dont say it,and honestly you will never fully feel comfortable around this person and you'll just have to have this conversation again down the road.
