Why the name change?

anyone know why the US version of Philosophers Stone is called The Sorcerers Stone?

i'd say it's just more commercial in america for it to be called the sorcerers stone, as maybe they don't have philosophers??

yah in JKR Bio. or what ever that book is called. Then it said something like it was to complicated for the Americans. Or something like that. I think that it is just another name for Philosofpher. But I have no Idea. 😖hrug:
