The Phrase that Pays
Cera sat on the edge of a bed in James' house, leaning against the wall. Her body was exhausted, but her mind was racing. So much had happened in the past few hours... and she could barely, physically and emotionally, keep up. She sighed heavily, more tears were running freely down her cheeks... But she figured she should just let it all out when she was alone, she held things in too often. Cera was amazed at how kind Kai was to her, especially after she told him that she had murdered his best friend. She was expecting to go back to her old life where no one cared for her or accepted her. Cera was also trying to push Shona's words from her mind... they may have been true, but she was letting herself believe whatever she wanted for the time being. Cera was not ready to go over the reasons why James had told her to kill him. She heard someone downstairs again, but didn't bother to go and see. If they wanted her they would find her... lost in her own little bubble of thoughts.
