His deep blue eyes became deep blood red, and the water receeded from him and enveloped Shona. Trust me where the last words she heard before being tossed into a turbulance of waters. All concepts of time where lost, but it had been only a few hours.
When Shona awoke, Leinhart stood crouched ontop of a rock; the moon barely reaching the horizon. Movement was impeeded, as when she looked down, a thin black membrane constricted her. "Don't worry," Leinhart said stealing her attention, "those will be your new wings." He jumped from the rock and crouched down besides her, "They'll protect you from the comming sun. I'll be back once the sun falls." He spread his wings and took flight into the forest, and he disappeared as the membrance covered Shona entirely...
