Steph watched Benjii change and run at the elder. Once he was tossed aside she got up from her spot on the ground and snuck over to kneel beside Benjii. "Is this what you were talking about? Is this what you turned into after I died?" A tear rolled down her cheeks as she looked at all the blood on the snow.
Benjii got up and jumped in front of william. "ht oid snod uhsnt? ipe djop dwop rno odh!" (you'd think i'd be done that easily? i'm older than you!) he laughed in a soul tearing laugh and flung william away from the group and watched him hit a tree in a bone breaking snap. "hieudu jieds!"(pathetic vampire!)
She spun and looked into Vrix's eyes, her sword fell from her hand when she realized what was wrong. She rushed to his side and rolled him onto his back. Quickly she took a deep breath and pressed her lips against his, forcing the air into his lungs. When she pulled away for another breath she hit the 'panic button' on her pager. "Help will be here soon Vrix hang on."
Benjii kissed her back and sighed. "its something i lose myself to when i'm not in the right state of mind...for the past two thousand years or so, its happened numerous times....i even used it willing to try and kill the prince and Kiki...i hate it!" he hit a tree next to them and splittered the wood making half the tree fall. he then looked at Kiki. "what changes? what do you mean?"
Benjii looked back and shook his head. "its not tamable...its a creatur no one can kill....i tried, Kiki tried, and Ozi tried...the prince's brother. it can't be stopped or put under control...i'm its slave for eternity." he looked into her eyes with regret of the information he gave her and put his hand on her cheeks. "i'm so-" he fell over clutching his stomach and coughing up blood. he closed his eyes when the pain was to much to bare and left his body shake violently on the cold ground.
Vrix's eyes rolled into his head, obviously the damage to his chest was worse than he had first thought. His grip on his sword tightened and his eyes came back into focus, he wasnt breathing but was being fuelled by sheer adrenalin. His narrowed vision did not see Kiki over him and looked right through her. He coughed blood and tried to stand. Getting to his knees against the pain. His broken ribs cut into both his lungs and his skin. Blood poured from his chest wounds. He tried to right his position but his spine had locked and blood was forming a pool at his feet in the snow. Several passing people thought this was some type of an act but one woman sreamed in terror at Vrix's bleeding chest. "Ki-," He weavered and through sheer gritted force he struggled to his feet, the wounds on his chest opened further. He was in tremendous pain and his mind was starting to shut down in defence against the blood loss. Vrix forcefully kept his mind live, he inhaled a largely and painfully sickening breath of ice cold air. "ki-" His vision was becoming blurry. His balence was shot. He could barely concentrate, but, something, a voice, was urging Vrix on, a familier voice, not Kiki or Benjii. It was someone, who he knew but couldnt pin-point with his fading mind.
Steph bowed her head as she listened, another tear rolling down her face. When Benjii fell to his knees she called for Kiki and knelt beside him.
Kiki looked up from Vrix and growled softly. “Sh*t F*ck... Like I don’t have enough problems on my hands. Stephanie! Hold him still stay beside him." She never left Vrix's side. Trying to keep him still would only worsen his condition. "Vrix please stop moving. Stay still you'll kill yourself." She put her hand on his shoulder to steady him. In the distance they could hear a helicopter.
Benjii could hear Kiki but couldn't answer. he pointed to his chest where the other vampire took his blood. "i-its like something is in ther-aaaaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!" his scream splitting ear drums in the park and making more blood rush out. his body shook and turned as he screamed again. his back arched and he collapsed and passed out from the blood loss.
Kiki called to Steph from where she was beside Vrix. “Dig around and see if there is anything inside him. Hurry!” She looked up at the slowly arriving copter. “Come on Come on.”
Steph nodded and tried to inspect his wounds. “I don’t want to hurt him!” Kiki called back. “Do it child!” Steph winced at her words and carefully felt around Benjii’s wounds.
Vrix saw the ancient manifest himself. A voice spoke into his mind. 'Let him come. Follow my orders, you will win.'

About a mile away someone was watching. This being sat on the roof of a tower viewing the proceedings. He paid Kiki no mind and concetraited on helping Vrix fight. Zike bit into a ham sandwhich, he was suprised that he could still eat human food, he chewed on it for several seconds while watching them, then swallowed the piece. It didnt have the regenerative effect of a humans blood but still, its the taste that he enjoyed. "Vrix, move towards Kiki, let her support you."
