How can ZION defeat the MACHINES?

We know that there is a 14 minute battle between ZION and the MACHINES in the REVOLUTIONS.
So, what should ZION do to defeat the machines?

Two options seem to strike one's mind

1) To believe in NEO only (NEO will himself handle the matter with MACHINES)
2) To fight with unity (this point also says that ZION can win without NEO)

I choose the 2nd point...

I think Neo should of sayed and blown up all the machines instead of going out with the logos

Well, technically speaking all they need, to defeat the machines, is to defend Zion. If they do that the Matrix will crash and the humans win...

Or do they 🙂

Maybe Neo helps just before the machines take over Zion 🙂

it seems that the war between the machines and zion will be won by the machines.....but then NEO will come and defeat the machines (ha ah ha...one human killing all machines)

Ah but if the matrix crashes everyone in the matrix will die, and if they can't defend zion that'll kill the human race.
