yeah! gandalf had borrowed shadowfax from rohan, then nobody could ride him, so they gave him to gandalf, and it's about mid afternoon over here, it's 3:30.

Not only because of that... Theoden offered him a present and Gandalf chose Shadowfay or something like that.
