thats very interesting...but think about it from both sides...if harry kills voldy, would he also be invincible for the rest of his life?

does the prophecy actually say that no one but vody can kill him, i just remember itsaying that "neither shall live while the other survives" that's different but i dont have my book with me so i might have forgotten a dif part of it

well honestly i don't really think that will happen, just thought it was a very interesting idea...and yes hobbit_dude, of course he could die of natural causes...i just meant that he couldn't die at the hand of another wizard. and FallenForever, i thine the "either must die at the hands of the other" part is what we're refering to...

yea i wondered that too....what will happen if Harry does kill Voldermort??? does Harry become invincible or does he just live his normal life....do you think something would happen 2 his scar??? ahehe

yeah like i said, very far fetched, but just got me thinking thats all! and about the whole, harry being invincible if voldemort dies thing.......i'm not sure! lol! caus, if the prophecy does mean that then theoretically, he would be, but that doesn't seem right somehow. Maybe it's his scar that links the two of them together? which i suppose would mean, that the only one bearing the scar could kill voldemort, and the only one that gave him the scar ie. voledemort, could kill him. so maybe when voldemort dies, the link between the two is severed, thus the scar dissapearing. u with me?

^yeah...i'm w/ ya...and i've heard the scar disappearing idea b/f...and i kinda like it. It sort of makes sense, and would make for a good ending...don't some ppl think the last word of the books will be "scar"? either ron or hermione saying..."harry, wheres your scar?"

*bumping* 😮 sorry..i just finished rereading OotP...and i tried to read the "lost prophecy" chapter really carfully...didn't know if anybody was up to a bit more discussion?

ok...i know this is really terrible of me...posting three times in a row...i'm sorry! and if nobody replys this time...i'll just let it die...but...i actually have a reason for posting. As i already said i just reread OotP...and then i decided to read book 1 (to prep me for another read through of Cos...looking for thos HBP clues!) ...i love finding all those connections, b/w stuff that happens in book 1, and then how the same stuff just gets deeper and deeper as the books progress...anyways...as i was reading the first chapter of SS, i noticed McGonagall talking to DD...and she asked this..."...but how in the name of heaven did Harry survive?" and DD responds "We can only guess...we may never know." but this does not fit...he's already heard th prophecy...does this mean that JK just didn't want to give us any hints, or that she wasn't originally planning to inclue the prophecy? or maybe this entire question is stupid 😛

I think he was flattering McGonagall.

one dies while the other one lives, but that doesn't mean that the other can't die after the other is dead. Like say Harry kills voldermort then a death eater comes and kills harry right after

I agree with Lianslo too, but I don't think that the price will be Harry's death, but something else....
