Yeah, Neville must bementioned for a reason. I think he will have a very strong connection to Harry in the future books sinceLestrange (nearly) killed the most loved persons of both - Sirius and Neville's parents. And I'm convinced Snape will have a keyrole in the entire story as he was mentioned so early, described so well and is so mysterious. And I really want to know why he never becomes DADA techer!!!!!!!!

It could just as easily have been Neville whose mother died for him as Harry's. Obviously she didn't go insane until sometime well after Neville was born.
