I said people like you because your sole defense for him being a good actor was that he won academy awards, as if that was your sole basis for your thoughts. Oscars are always over rated these days, most actors who win don't deserve it anymore. (Julia roberts, russel crowe, halle berry)
The Adrian brody was the last winner who i thought actually deserved it. He was great in the pianist.

BackFire - my defense for Russell Crowe is he has never made a movie in which he didn't do a good job - even in Romper Stomper or that flop with Meg Ryan Proof Of Life Crowe still gave a great performance. And again we disagree I didn't like The Piano, Speilberg did it better. Darn those people like me.
pablo Depp has been a performer a lot longer than Bloom, if Depp can like Bloom then why can't you cut him any slack?
KidRock love The KidRock... anyway - do the little girls like Bloom or Legolas? My vote is Legolas or Will Turner, not the person Orlando Bloom. JMO

But again, he did nothing special in any of his movies (russel crowe). He was just bad and generic in gladiator. Actually, gladiator as a whole is just plain bad , beautiful mind was a typical nut case roll, people have done it better then him.
Also, the pianist and schindlers list aren't that similar, they both deal with the holocaust, that's it. They show it in a completely different light.
