I'm Asian, but honestly, I dont think they should stick to Cho Chang being Asian. I mean, if they're gonna cast an Asian, she should be playing a truly Asian role. I dont think I like the idea of seeing an Asian girl who acts like an American or British girl! She must be shown like a true Asian girl-- in the glory of her culture, manners, virtues & all!
Or maybe its because I'm just so used to seeing caucasians in my favorite franchise movies.. Warner Bros. must be in dilemma & blaming JKR for giving Harry's first love a very Chinese sounding name! *lol*

I think that Rowling did a good job of representing everyone in the world in her novels. I think that she assumes that we are open-minded enough to know that there are many different kinds of people in this world, and we realize that she need not TELL us if someone is Asian or he/she is from another country. I think she is subtly telling us by using certain names.
Thank god BoA is not playing Cho Chang...
