I was foolishly duped by this guy for a few months. I can't believe I fell for some of the nonsense he typed, although he did respond to some of my contributions. I started to doubt him when one minute he would say Lucas is a genius who can do wrong then the next he'd totally lambast the guy. My wife works in a Pharmacy and supplies medication for guys like him and my mates a cop who issues restraining orders on those same people. However, I continue to visit his site daily coz some of his stuff is quite funny and as previously stated, its good to get all the spoilers in the one readable place. I think I fear for the girl (Marius or something) who he thinks is his girlfriend. I hope she locks her doors at night...
he never gives up, does he
Hi Supes, your site rocks. I believe it would be a great idea for you to take control of Episodes 7 - 9 and begin production ASAP. (SuperShadow: Your idea rocks. We will begin work on Episode 7 within the next fifteen years.) I think it would be cool to see Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia once more. They were the ones who made Star Wars what it was. And I'd hate to see Mark Hamill or Carrie Fisher die of an over dose before Star Wars is made. (SuperShadow: As far as I know, Fisher no longer uses illicit drugs. Hamill probably never had a problem with drugs to begin with.) P.S. Don't star Lucas as Han Solo(SuperShadow: Lucas really has his heart on having the new Han Solo look like Lucas.)
I began to get suspicious when he began to change his answers. Sometimes he will make a statement and then contradict himself the very next day. Besides that, I doubt Lucas would waste his time coming up with ridiculous Sith names for jedi like Mace Windu or Yoda. One time he even posted a Sith name for R2D2.
I first got suspicious of him when he began praising himself, belittling lucas, using his "girlfriend" as website eye candy and preaching christian stuff about harry potter.
the kyber crystal thing was a lie. however, if you read the first few scripts of a new hope it is mentioned there (that and splinter of the minds eye). Considering sidious' power, in my opinion, I wouldn't doubt it.
no, not by a long shot BigTex
the kyber crystal was originally part of the ANH-story, but it got ditched and came back in Splinter Of The Mind's Eye, last I heard, GL never wanted to use the idea again
though, only time will tell if it will be used in EPIII, but I think it's unlikely (certainly at this point)
(SuperShadow: Jango Fett never killed a Jedi during his life.)
Did I just imagine Jango Fett shoot Coleman Trebor off the edge of the Geonosis arena to his doom? I don't think so. Does anyone imagine him surviving a head first fall at that distance?
OS databank entry-
Attempting to confront Count Dooku, former Jedi and leader of the Separatists, Coleman was callously shot by Dooku's henchman, bounty hunter Jango Fett.
It doesn't say he died but I'm sure he did.
As some forum members already know, I agree with you in any way and hat how people discriminate the wonderful EU. But I'm afraid that quite a few of the members in kmc are anti-EU, and do not want to hear anything about it in their discussions or in the sw film forums.
If "Canon" doesent mean anything to you, then ignore these anti-EU members.
That's what I have learnt to do, but that doesent mean that I do not still mention a few EU stories in the precious film forums.
And yes a lot of EU material is better than prequel canon stuff.
I think that more EU stuff has been contradicted and will be contradicted in Ep III sadly. I'll list those contradictions some other time.
Yeah, I know. And it's sad really, that Lucas approves these stories and then goes ahead and shoots them down as if they never happened. But I'll do what you do and ignore the canon obsession. (Or I'll just chuckle inwardly about how much they sound like Trekkies arguing about technical specs on the Enterprise. 🙂)
Sigh... the reason we "can't just agree that everything that is written down is true until a movie contradicts it" is because that is not true. That is not my fault, that is just how it is. Hating the word 'canon' isn't much good either. Why hate a word which simply describes what the genuine storyline of something is? Conflicts do arise and a word is needed to define the subject.
And if you think coming in here, getting aggravated at the use of the word canon and complaining that some EU is better does in any way makes you superior to those who debate about it, then you are seriously twisted. Personally, I think disputing the truth, as said by Lucasfilm, of the matter is far more Trekkie-like than us simply reminding people of that truth.
Let me just make thiese matters clear... AGAIN
1. Canon is simply a term to define what is the genuine storyline.
2. According to Lucasfilm and George Lucas, the EU is NOT canon. This cannot be debated.
3. As far as I am concerned, this has nothing to do with being anti-EU. The EU can be crap, indifferent, or excellent. That does not change its canon status. 'Canon' does not equal quality, it simply equals canon. IF Lucasfilm or GL changed their mind about it then things here would change as well, regardless of whether people liked it or not. But that's not going to happen.
4. Once we accept that the books do not add to the continuity of the films, you can see why it is extremely logical that in conversations about film plot points, EU information is completely useless.
5. Which is why we say keep EU info to the EU section.
And that is the totality of the argument, Now for the love of God move on because I am thoroughly sick of this. If you are a Star Wars fan, this is a situation you simply have to accept, and that is an end to it.
