that was said two weeks ago already
apperently Pierce wanted him to succeed him, but Brosnan WILL make one movie more
but it is all still a guess, nothing is sure till the conference in january

The general idea is that Brosnan will do Bond 21 and it will be released in 2005. Then they(EON) will announce the new James Bond (probably Owen) and will release the next film in 2007.
