What Was Neo Really Doing at Metacortex?

This theory is regarding the newly discovered MetaCortex website. Neo used to work their before being taken out of the Matrix.

The MetaCortex product seems to be some sort of videogame system that simulates reality. I know it's kinda obvious and a bit cheesey, but isn't it odd that Neo was working for a company that essentially is trying to emulate reality, as the machines are doing for Neo? To take it a step further, since the machines are not human and obviously could not have completely understood humans by themselves, could they have used the human programming taking place in the matrix to aid their simulated reality.

I mean, if a person in the matrix is trying to build an AI, can't the machines steal that code and incorporate it into the matrix code? As the Architect said, it took the machines a while to get it right, but did they do it all alone, or did people like Neo help them? Did humans make the machines stronger by trying to make machines more human-like in the matrix?

as some stated in the METACORTEX thred he was probably another programmer, and yes I think its possible that they were actually programming for the machines to keep updating the matrix.....thats why I think the whole "tint" thing having to do with real world and matrix worlds could be inaccurate.

someone said before the matrix was green tinted because it was programmed by machines.....by that rational perhaps they hired the humans to program and thus changed the tint or modernized it...isnt that possible also??

I think the whole green tint thing is simply used as a visual tool by the Wachowskis to distinguish between the two worlds, and people are looking too much into it. Similar visual cues have been used in countless movies; most notably, and recently, in the film "Traffic." But enough with the film lesson...I just think it's a non-issue. 😄

You are correct smithvirus about the green tint thing I remember hearing it on a 'making of' documentary. Also about the machines using the humans to write code for them there is a Matrix comic/story on the official website that supports this theme if anybody is interested
