Original RP area story- Gumf Archive

For the benefit of those joining in mid-way, I will keep regular updates of the story so far in the main story.

On the planet (still unnamed!) a crisis has broken out as dozens of conflciting factions seek to take conmtrol of it, and make use of it's important position on the edge of the Republic. Its Senator, Vendant, makes an impassioned plea for help at the Senate. Resources are tight, but the Council agrees top send some Jedi Knights to check out the situation.

Vendant never makes it back to Coruscant. He is killed on the way home by the mysetrious man Finti, who styles himself as the 'Norse Sith'. He is amnipluating the crisis on the planet for his own advanatge.

The closest Jedi Knight is Ushgarak, who has some experience in galactic affairs and is already investigating a similar problem at nearby Damagran. He arrives at the capaital city of Marakith, and makes contact with the Government to get a grip on the situation. He learns that the Government has all but collpased, and the people have lost faith in the Republic. Also, the people of a place named Gard seem well-placed to take control

Shortly afterwards arrives Ushgarak's friend Gundark, who is suspuicoius about the non-arrival of Vendant. After talking the situation over with Ushgarak, she goes undercover to Gard while Ushgarak continues to talk to the Government.

Meanwhile, the shadow and evil Finti watches all, fresah from his meeting with nearby Hutts wtih whom he is working.

Ushgarak and Gundark's enigmatic friend queeq arrives at Gard in his cloakshape fighter. He soon is suspicous at some of the naval activity in the area, and he has his own work to do as well. he meets up with Gundark- neither seems particualry happy at working together- ebfore he sets out to investigate some of the things he saw, leaving Gundark working in the streets of Gard.

Ushgarak bumps into a friendly Toydarian anmed Thrax, who becomes a possible contact for workinhg out the trouble here. He doesn't have much time to think about it. Beiofre he can meet with the Government, he is ambushed in the Main Hall, by people worming, at least in part, for his ol enemy, Shareth the Hutt. The badly wounded Ushgarak escapes and tries to make it to Thrax's place, the nearest place of safety.

Finti is furious at this disruption to his plans. He orders his forces to elimibate everyone at the Courtyard- no exceptions. The massacre is quick and brutal. This move may have nopt been what he wanted, but it alows him to set up his lackey, Duke Reik, as new head of the government.

queeq is also ambushed in his fighter. He fights through the trap and escapes. The failure to kill queeq is an error; he is a man who does not take violence against him lightly...

The good guys anre split up, confused and disoreintated. The Republic does not yet know about the chaos on the planet- although if Finti does not act fast his plans may fall apart. Can he catch Ushgarak before he sounds the alarm? Will Gundark also fall victim of a trap? Will queeq unravel the mystery behind the naval situation? Will Ushgarak survive long enough to get back to his ship?

We'll find out in due course.

Ushgarak makes it to his friend Thrax, the Toydarian dealer, and warns Coruscant that thinga hve gone awry. A furious Finti is still searching for the missing Jedi.

Gundark is badly wounded after an ambush at Gard. She makes it back to her ship and tries to return to Marakith to link up with Ushgarak.

Finti starts to put the rest of his plan into operation. queeq has raced home to try and stop the chaos unfolding. He catches some of Finti's agents, but one of them still manages to send a powerful political message by bombing the Malastarian delegation when the scandalous news of the planet's independance is declared. Queeq, whom it is clear is both respected and feared on Coruscant, returns to the system.

Ushgarak has evaded his pursuers by keeping to the sewers, but his strength is giving out. Likewise, Gundark's wound is palying on her, as is the strong and evil presence of the mysterious Norse Sith...

Meanwhile, Palpatine is pleased by the chaos. his exact relationship with Finti is unclear, but his plans for the system are clearly not good, as he sends his trusted Admiral Thrawn, with a small but dnaegrous strike force, to the system. How the men of Gaerd will react to this is unknown.

Ushgarak's ship is being guarded both by thugs of Finti's, and agents of Shareth the Hutt, Ushgarak's mortal enemy. An agent of Shareth's is tailing Ushgarak and taunting him. He finally meets the man in the flesh- he wears white ans is accompanmied by yellow guards. In what appears to be a force move, Ushgarak is sent flying off a walkway- to be resuced by queeq, who has returned. queeq sends the two wounded Jedi back home, whole he remains on the planet, just as Thrawn's strike force arrives...

Just thought I'd create somewhere where people can make suggestions.

My only suggestion right now is to get more people playing! And before you ask, no, I can't get Edna to.

Ushgarak, Jedi Knight.

Ushgarak is still a youthful Knight. He hasn't fulfilled many official assignments but he's seen a lot of the Galaxy.

Born on Corellia, he was kidnapped by pirates after an administrative error during the early stages of his Jedi training, when he was still so young he did not really know what was going on. Raised by the pirates, who were under the control of a Female Hutt named Shareth, Ushgarak became a superb pilot. Meanwhile, his blackmailed father supported the pirates, secretly trying to undermine them

Ushgarak was eventually rescued by a Jedi Master named Imorthorn, who was dealing with the pirate problem in the area. As part of the pirate's revenge, Ushgarak's father was kidnapped by Shareth's associates. He was never told that his father was still alive, as Imorthorn thought that this would inspire too much anger- he had to be returned to the Jedi way.

Imorthorn made an excellent teacher, and Ushgarak became a full Knight when he was 20. Imorthorn accepted a five-year stint on the Jedi Council at this point. Soon after, Ushgarak found out about his father at just the wrong time. Incredibly upset, he became a renegade, determined to find his father.

His father had already left him a decent small ship, the Eye of the Moon, that Ushgarak used in his search. He eventaully rescued his father, but this wasn't enough- Ushgarak became fixated on destroying Shareth's entire empire.

His anger was his undoing. His sense of the force was clouded by his emotion. One day, one of Shareth's bounty hunters got too close. He would have killed Ushgarak, but at the last moment Imorthorn, finished with his stint on the Council and now looking for his wayward pupil, intervened, killing the Hunter and cradling the badly wounded Ushgarak as he returned him to Coruscant. By the Will of the Force, Ushgarak lived.

The experience changed him completely. Ushgarak became the perfect Knight, and became a teacher at the Temple, warning the young Padawans about the dangers of going Renegade. Ushgarak has been left for a certain contempt for Renegade Jedi, as he feels he was extremely stupid.

The Council sometimes sends Ushgarak out on missions. Lucky to survive his renegade years, they are now a wealth of valuable experience with pirate clans and the underworld of the Galaxy- experience the Jedi need. He no longer seeks Shareth's destruction, but if the Force should will their paths to cross again, he will oppose her at every turn...

FINTI'S PROFILE

Finti a jedi who practice both sides of the force. Not exactly a Sith but the closest thing to it.
Born in the Sullust system he moved around in his early ages. He was picked up by two dark jedis, Eli-Chi the master and Ja -Gohn the padawan. They worshiped both side of the force. The light side for meditation, realization and defensive thoughts and the dark side for all it powers in a battle. They started a new order and called it Norse Sith, it differs from the Sith order in the way of no limitations in masters and trainees. You can say it is somewhere in-between The Jedi order and the Sith order.
Finti was strong with the force from and early age and an eager student. Where he was different from his masters was the fact they feard him. After finishing his padawan time Finti also finished off the old Master Eli-Chi since he felt he had become a burden to him. Ja -Gohn could do nothing but agree his powers and skill was no match to the New Norse Sith Finti who actually leaned more over to the dark side rather than the light.
Finti constructed his lightsaber with a purple color with a red core, mostly for showing off his skills rather than anything else. His way of clothing is all black with red and purple. He prefer a all black robe over his Black, purple and red suit. The suit could be refered to as a commando outfit only it was more of a personal design that kind of reflected to the state of mind, mainly dark.
Finti`s ship was all black with a cloaking system.
Ja-Gohn was left behind to train more youngster within the Norse Sith order, he had his handsfull . He had developed the bad habit of always glimsing over his shoulder more or less excpecting to see Finti standing there ready to finnish him off.

GUNDARK'S PROFILE

Gundark's Jedi Knighthood was transformed into that of the life of a Master when the council bestowed the title upon her just two years ago, however she has yet to take on a padawan, despite being 37 now. Born on Vataan, she was taken into the Jedi order when she was all of two years old, however her parents both died along with the rest of the unfortunate population when Vataan went super-nova when Gundark was 10. The loss was bitter, but Gundark knew the tragedy was purely fate; she reconciled her anger and grief though her training and came out much the wiser Jedi on the other end. The council relies much upon her cool, collected thinking and ability to control her fear, fear that would lead to anger, hate and suffering, and thus to the dark side as many times Master Yoda had told her. Gundark had lost track of how many field missions she had been sent on by the council, but accepted each assignment with the respect due the council, usually without question. Ushgarak was one of her closest friends in the order and he was quite strong with the Force, despite the emotional baggage of his past.

THRAX'S PROFILE

XIZOR'S PROFILE

Admiral Thrawn

Discovered in the regions beyong the outer rim he was brought before Palpatine in the years preceding TPM. The then senator was fascinated with Thrawn, who barely out of his teens had such a presence and military genius.

Thrawn's mixture of genius, cool composure, and vast talent in terms of espionage, space battles and a rare ability to instictually know his oppenents moves made him perfect for one of Palpy's first offensives.

The Outbound Flight(forgot real name) project was being set in motion, 5 Jedi's including Master C'Baoth were being sent on a mission to edge of The Galaxy. Palpy couldn't resist taking this first step in his eventual domination. Thrawn was the perfect choice to lead a strike, he was unknown to the Republic, unafraid of Jedi and knew both the outer regions and cover up assasination better then anyone Palpy had ever met.

With a team of mandelorian assasins Thrawn persued and destroyed the Jedi, instantly ensuring himself legendary status amongst evil's elite abnd the title of Admiral. Since then he has been a shadow following Palpy's assent to the top. His tasks have including discreetly choosing future officers for Palpy's envisioned empire. Palpy's special forces(Hidden elite troops who support the Chancellor's evil half) are strategical placed around the galaxy by Thrawn.

The red eyed alien also performes most all of Paly's covert space operations, and is privy to his plans for a future empire and the demise of the Jedi. We catch up with Thrawn in this story doing what he does best in the years leading up to Ep2. Commanding a cover operation with the Chancellors special forces. It's no surprise that he's in cahoots with a dark side user, as Palpy's found the best way to counter the New Republic's counteroffensive: Thrawn vs. Republic, Sith vs. Jedi. Causing death and dissention accross the galaxy Thrawn is peice by peiced adding to a puzzle that when complete will be known as the Empire.

Let it be known that Admiral Thrawn is not a character to mess with.

PHINNEY'S PROFILE

Phinney is a teenage boy, who has been trained to be a fighter pilot for the senate. He was born on corosunt, and early on people saw his interest in fighter pilots. He only has one problem....He is too cocky and arrogant. He has gotten in many fights before, many of them him winning. He is neuve and very foolish. He thinks he is god's greatest gift so to speak.
