Wes Craven's: Alice aka: Alice in Wonderland

Ok, so Alice is like in her Twenties, she's not the little girl she once was, even more so having spent most of her life in an mental institute as she was considered crazy after telling all of her experience in Wonderland, somehow she is able to go back. Now with black hair, she is back where she once had a nice, interesting, and imagintive time. Now, something is wrong, it's dark, sinister, evil. What happened to the place she knew, and everyone she remembered. Her choice of Weapon butcher knife, there is no way she's gonna go down without a fight. Rumored to star are Christina Ricci or Milla Jovovich. Who would you love to see in this. I got the butcher knife part from the video game, but the other stuff is what I have read. Plus they may make it into a computer generated movie. It should be really violent and gory apparently.

I think this could be a cool movie if they do it right. Eliza Dushku is also rumored to play Alice, although if she does star in it, that lowers it to a horrible teeny bop movie immediately.

the computer game was excellant

why would it be trash if Elizas in it she's 1 of my fave actors!

You mean American McGee's Alice , and wes craven would turn it into a pile of crap with his corny-ness. John carpenter might do a better job or a director thats a big fan of the game

Elizas ****in hotttttttttttttttttt

Craven owns Carpenter in every way imaginable. Take their two biggest movies for example.

Halloween and A Nightmare on Elm Street. One is about a psychotic killer stalking a girl we find out later to be his sister. Good movie.......but not an original idea to be found anywhere. Let's look at Craven's. A completely original concept.......much darker.....much scarier.......when on to achieve pop culture status, not just with genre fans as Halloween did.

And ofcourse.........Clive Barker trumps them both with one movie.....Hellraiser. It is the most original and horrific horror movie ever made.

The reason Eliza would make it horrible is because she is an actor on par with Britney Spears. She may be attractive but she is talentless.

agreed..............pleasing to the eye.....but not a film's plot.

Sorry but the only films I think of when I hear cravens name are ' wes cravens a new nightmare' , 'scream series' , 'I know what you did last summer'. with Carpenter I think of things like "The thing" or as you've mentioned "Halloween" (I think Halloween 2 was the best). Like I've said though, I hope the director is a fan of the game or it'll be disappointing to watch

Really?............here's what you should think of when you hear Wes's name.

The Last House on The Left
The Hills Have Eyes
A Nightmare on Elm Street (the first...he refused to do the sequels)
Wes Craven's New Nightmare
The Serpent and The Raibow
The People Under the Stairs
Shocker
Scream
Deadly Friend
Swamp Thing

Let's see what Carpenter has done:

Ghosts of Mars (hahahaha)
Vampires
Village of the Damned
In the Mouth of Madness
They Live
Christine
The Thing
Halloween

although Carpenter has many good films including They Live, The Thing, In the Mouth of Madness, and Halloween.............Craven's are more original......and more horrific.

Escape from newyork and The Fog were awesome too (even though escape isnt horror 🙁 ) . I dunno I just like carpenters ambience

wow, glad to hear that wes didnt do the sequels for nightmare on elm.. first was great. serpent and the rainbow was when that guy got his balls nailed to a chair right? I was like ouch! lol the poor dude.. that was an interesting movie though. New nightmare had too much tongue action (ew) 😖

I'm not huge fan of New Nightmare either........I think it could have been alot better. Ofcourse Craven didn't do the NOES sequels, he wouldn't have killed his own character like that would he......making him a stand up comic and all.

I'm a huge fan of Escape from New York........yeah, I didn't list it because I was concentrating on horror.....

Craven made Last House on the Left, one of the most daring, shocking, and innovative horror films of all time. He is second only too George Romero.

There you have it folks..................

Wes Craven is like Stephen King. He once was great but he's kinda losing his touch as time goes on...

Stephen King is the same as he always was...........he still uses the same formula but people are tired of it.......it's getting really old. It is 13 years old and can be compared easily to Dream Catcher. Same formula, people are just tired of it.

Craven's down fall is that he has become such a big name in horror. He is now working with major studios on major studio projects. It's hard to put out another "Last House on the Left" or "A Nightmare on Elm St." when you have Mr. Corporate Big Brother telliny you what is acceptable and what isn't, story wise and content. Corporations (big studios) have demographics the movie's content is to be aimed at...........when he made LHOTL and NOES he just wanted anybody to watch it, he cared none about a demographic.

Here the latest on the American McGee's Alice movie?

Different director now. And Buffy is Alice.
Can't wait. 😈
