actually no, pepsi had the idea to come out with a vanilla soda first but coke heard about it and decided the rush their own vanilla product out onto the shelves first. And then Pepsi decided to hold back on the release of Pepsi Vanilla so that people wouldn't think they were copying coke(that's why they came out with Pepsi Blue instead)...and Pepsi vanilla is twice as good as vanilla coke(but that is good too)
