Seriously, what was so good about the movie? I mean, it sure was eye candy, alot of the images were really neat. But Selene's personality totally changed, and then you were quickly shown Marcus, and you didn't even get to know about Marcus. He really didn't have a plot other than awakening William. Willaim also should have had a larger part. It was pathetic about his dialouge/part in the whole movie, which was only the end. And Micheal was just stupid like usual.
Eye candy is what most action movies are, first of all.
In what way did Selene's personality change? Remember that the first movie ended when she found out that her whole life as a Death Dealer was a lie. She's hated lycans for killing her family and it turned out it was actually Viktor, the man she looked up to like a father, that killed them.
What more would you have liked to know about Marcus? The movies never went to in depth with any of the elders. Amelia we know NOTHING about.
Yeah, put simply, Marcus wants to rescue William from his prison. But there was more to that. With the blood of a lycan in him now, he's more powerful than he had ever imagined. And to put icing on the cake, he's the last living elder vampire. So no one can stop him.
There wasn't much room in the plot for William to get more coverage. Story and plot comes first. If you try to cram in as much action from all the characters as possible, you might as well be making a ride for Universal Studios.
I like Michael. I didn't see anything stupid about him. This movie took place right after the first one so remember that this thing is still very new to him. The first Underworld was over a span of what, three days? It's a lot to soak in, being turned into a werewolf, learning that that makes him a target for all vampires, falling infatuated with Selene, turning into a vampire/lycan hybrid. And now, since he's the first hybrid, he has no idea how he's supposed to act. What are his weaknesses? What are his strengths? At the end of the first movie, my friend asked, "Why bother being a hybrid? You're just adding curses onto yourself, not being able to go into sunlight for one." We see in the second movie that's not the case. He has to learn about himself while risking his life every time. Can he go into sunlight? Yes. Can he survive silver in his bloodstream? Apparently. Can he eat normal food?
Spoiler:So I say he isn't stupid, just naive.
No.
