Actually, I found a copy of the original Reloaded script on the internet. I thought it was better than what they came up with... Set only a few days after the first Matrix film. It had Choi and DuJour in it, and Morpheus and Niobe were still together

First of all, the kid is saved by Neo somewhere between M1 and Reloaded...That's why he stalks Neo everywhere in Reloaded...He also opens the gate for the Hammer when it flys into the dock to use the EMP to destroy the "Calimari" in Revo. He also announces the end of the war...

And...No one can be Smith. No one sees Smith again until Reloaded...
