Could there be ANOTHER traitor?

In M1 Cypher’s had it, and he’s willing to sacrifice everyone for blissful ignorance. He’s just one person. There are 250.000 people in Zion, and while not all of them hack the Matrix, there are a lot who do.
Why did I come up with this idea? The beauty of a good DVD is that you can keep watching it, and I happen to be one of those who liked Reloaded EVEN better than The Matrix itself.

At the end of the movie, the Architect switches his screens to show Trinity.
“Apropos, she entered the matrix to save your life at the cost of her own.” As if he was expecting this to happen. He may just be guessing that rebel+agents=death rebel, or “someone” made sure she would enter.

It’s very convineint. The ONE thing that could get Neo to choose the Matrix IS love. So by assuring Neo, that she WILL die, the Architect might’ve hoped to persuade Neo to do as he’s “supposed” to.

But to get Trinity to enter the Matrix, the Vigilant and Sorens crew had to be taken out. Why is it, that the Sentinels appear were they do at JUST the right time? Could there be another traitor? (Not Bane. Smith is interested in killing Neo, not aiding the Architect.) If there is, I’m sure it’s someone we know.

But who?

no traitor, except our belief in non-existent choice...(yes, the mero is right, at least as i see it, but i believe MWAM, so...) Also, Omega, this is part of why i support MWAM, BECAUSE OF this fact, plus "i do not believe in coincedence, i see providence, i see purpose"

But Morpheus is mad. (Lawrence Fishburne even says as much about his character in Reloaded). He’s a true believer. It is Morpheus who does not believe in coincidence. He chooses to see providence. But at the end of that day, it’s all a lie. It is another system of control.

My question is (as you know) based on the real world BEING real. I don’t think it’s impossible, that there is another traitor, who, like Cypher, wants to return to the Matrix. So based on that premise who could it be?

the PROPHECY is a lie, however, from what happens when Morpheus is talking about purpose, i tend to believe that Purpose IS there, guiding EVERYTHInG...And if there IS a traitor, aside from Bane, it might be Locke, perhaps...Mad at the world for always going against him, not being able to control his captains...Not even his own WIFE...i dont know, perhaps there ISN't any traitors...

Lock's wife?? I don't think Niobe and Lock are married... Or did I miss anything.

I know you believe in PURPOSE. But in hindsight isn't it easy to say one was there, based on the outcome? It's like tossing a dice and saying "ah, 7, I believe that MEANS something". Or people who read stuff into horrorscopes (Yes, pun intended), or palm-reading, tea-leaf readings, tarot-cards.
You can READ things into events. It's what we humans do. Search for patterns. It's how we see shapes in clouds in the sky, when it's just some water vapour floating by.

Neo DID see Trinity enter the Matrix, fight and fall. He has the sight just like the Oracle.
All we can do is sit and wait for HOW she’s going to enter, when Neo’s asked her not to. Just like with the vase.

Locke and Niobe are not married - Morpheus is a fanatic and has been brainwashed into "believing" the prophecy which was all just a scam. Before he was "brainwashed" (let us say that for the time being 😄), he was with Niobe.

As far as a traitor, it is completely plausible and possible.

Brainwashed, now, eh, Sifer? 😉

Omega> yes, it is easy to say it is all purpose in hindsight, but when i was watching the movie the first time i thought the same thing...also, isn't it kinda amazing how things happen, in both real world and Matrix, at the EXACT time they NEED to happen, for the "prophecy" to be completed, ie Neo going to the Source...i mean, if it had been off by just one SECOND, Neo would have been dead...so, i will STILL stick to my PURPOSE-OBSESSION, until i am proved otherwise when Revolutions comes out, or until you ALL BOW DOWN BEFORE MY SUPERIORITY....JJ, that was my evil side coming out for a sec, i repressed him, for the moment...🙂

I doubt that there could be another traitor. Every human in Zion knows the Machines are drilling and they will all soon be dead if everything goes to plan. There is nothing they can do, not even reinserting themselves. What good is that going to do? The machines will still destroy Zion. Why would they give up Neo or Morpheus? I doubt anyone would, they are too busy having dancing (jk). But really, no one knows about Smith except those aboard the Logos and Nebuchadnezzar so no one is going to sell out to Smith. Neo is in cahoots with the Machines in Revolutions. So in what way can there be a traitor?

Neo and the machines are working together soooo no one is going to give neo up the machines. no one is going to give zion up the machines because the machines are digging (remember?). no one is going to give either Zion or Neo to Smith because no one knows about Smith except for those aboard the Logos and Neb... get it? no traitor.
