i agree with that, he definitely will stick to magneto 😄 but you have to say that even if the x-men would give him encouragement he would still be feeling somewhat isolated from them all... and he would still pick magneto if buckethead had just shown him a lil interest 😄 what can i say, he was born a bad guy 😄
their dvd pix? that sucks that it's going to be in widescreen format and not fullscreen. i prefer fullscreen. shows more.
What? Well, since X2 was shot using the same method as the LOTR movies, I can use them as examples as to just how much is CUT OUT in the widescreen to fullscreen conversion process. Head to widescreen.org, click examples then click the LOTR TT link
Look at the first pic. You can't even tell what Gandalf is holding on to in the fullscreen pic. Fourth one down, whats happening to Frodo? Can't tell in the fullscreen version. Look at the screen below that, where'd Sam go in the fullscreen version? Hes part of that scene too, yet he gets completely cut out! Look at the scenes where the ents are attacking Isengard. In the fullscreen version you can't even tell what they're throwing rocks at! Look at all the different battle scenes now. The battles definitely lose their "epic scope" because the majority of the battles have been cut out! Fullscreen makes them look small and clustered, while widescreen shows just how big the battles where and how much action is taking place. Not to mention, in some of the fullscreen shots, you can tell the image was actually altered to fit more information onscreen.
I don't know about you, but myself, the rest of the movie loving community, and the fans that made DVD what it is today, prefer to see the ENTIRE movie. Not some butchered version with about half of the picture chopped off. I don't care if the picture doesn't "fill up" my crappy 4x3 TV set because I'm seeing the ENTIRE PICTURE. If I cared about the picture "filling up" the TV screen, I'd get a widescreen TV. What is important, however, is seeing the movie the way the film makers wanted it to be seen. ONLY widescreen provides that experience. Fullscreen butchers and kills it.
totally! I agree! widescreen is stupid, like I care what's to the far left and right of the screen, the only thing that matters is what's going on in the middle of the screen!!!!
You haven't seen any good movies if you think that only the "middle of the screen" is important. You obviously are completely unaware of the methods used to make movies fullscreen as well. The reason most of the action is "centered" in fullscreen is because all sorts of methods are incorporated to make it as such. People get cut out of conversations, the camera will cut/pan back and forth really quick to include people in conversations. Infact, nearly every fullscreen movie has instances of cutting back and forth real fast to include everyone in the conversation. Sometimes the camera will physically move back and forth to include everyone. Its enough to give a person motion sickness. Theres quite a few examples of Star Wars at widescreen.org of key people being cut out of conversations due to the fullscreen format chopping them off. You'll find plenty of examples there of how fullscreen (pan and SCAM) movies should be BANNED. Chopping up a movie for fullscreen is the equivalent of painting a mustache on the mona lisa and giving her a buzzcut as well. You wouldn't deface a piece of art like a painting, so why are you so willing to deface a piece of art like a movie?
People who can't appreciate and RESPECT the film makers original vision and intent should NOT be allowed to watch movies and demand butchered copies that DESTROY the experience for the rest of us.
