In Memory of Thomas Anderson

That the Zionites realise how wrong they really are...

Sifer> no, i'm not, nothing of the sort. also, go back and read my post, i dont think you understood what i said...How wrong they are about what, the fact that Zion isnt real?

I think that regardless of whether Zion is real or not; Thomas Anderson is dead.

You cant win, I already won. I danced first 💃

Jedi, Im sure you have a real name, if your friends & family call you "Jedi" this might explain things, but that'd make you a certifiable geek. lol

(Here we go again) if you awoke from THIS Matrix, would you really change your name? Would you be a different person? Would you be REBORN? no. Youll still have memories and feelings for the people you had relationships with within the Matrix. You cant have two personalities. If he did, he'd have no memories of being Thomas Anderson.

The only way youre right, is if Thomas, lived his entire life in the Matrix alone.... No family, no friends, EVER. This of course is another debate because theres no proof to back this up or not.

when you play an online game, do you remember what you did while playing? Of course you do. Was the game real? No. so why are you telling me that the Matrix is any different, just because its for 30 years rather than an hour (or five)...?

No, because Thomas/Neo was BORN in the Matrix... and the matrix isnt just a game. It was a life with real people. They arent just characters within a video game, theyre real... as is the memories with them. If youd unplug them and free those minds, he'd still have a history with them, and the relationships would still be the same in the "real world"
Neo doesnt have memories of life previous to the existance of the Matrix, he was born inside it..

its the same basic concept, whether the people inside it believe it is real or not, it is "a game, its just a game". Neo was born INSIDE of the matrix, yes, but the Matrix is not real, it SEEMS real, but it is not.

Regardless of your arguments, there is a bench that says “In Memory of Thomas Anderson”.

Why?

Could it be simply a little fun on the set, and nothing that is intended for the movie audience to see?
Could it be something erected in the Matrix by Anderson’s parents after he left?
Could it be something that takes place 1, 10 or 100 years later, after Neo has died to save Zion, the Matrix or someone else? Or after he has simply died of natural causes?

Kind of funny how none of the spoilers mentioned this bench. I also do not remember and park type settings in the spoilers.

Of course, it could be a scene sitting on the cutting room floor.

Hmmmm, interesting point. Maybe in the end of Revos we will see the earth freed, with people walking normally in the streets, machines allied with humans and the camera zooms in the bench. This would be a very cool and happy end! Very touching 🙂

lol I'd hate to see that thought... machines and humans living amongst each other... there are so many places it would fail... coz we'd use loadsa space for buildings etc and they don't need them etc... and plus... CHEEEEEESY

Italian> I stopped readint these posts and catching up from last night, when you said to Jedi "I am sure your family doesn't call you 'Jedi'."

I know what he is trying to say. The name is dead not the person. The Matrix gave him his name Thomas A. Anderson. The Matrix is not a reality, therefore Thomas A. Anderson is not his real name. Neo, the name he gave himself, his hacker alias, is his real name because HE NAMED himself.

The reason Smtih calls Neo "Mr. Anderson" is because he is just trying to be a prick and smart ass.

Or because he wants to tell Neo that he is no different from anyone else inside the Matrix.
