The letter game

here's how it goes

I write a word and then the next person has to write a word that has the first letter and last letter of my word included in their word, example:

MARk

Next person then writes something like: ARrange etc etc

I'll start and my word is:

Yell

Wouldn't M and K be the words for the example? You said the first and last letter right? I'm confused.
